Possibly part of the government conspiracy.  Unless you've done it yourself you have no proof they did what they say they did.

Here's and experiment to try. Get your self a dip needle magnet. A magnet that freely rotates in three dimensions to align with the earths magnetic field. Make sure you are certain which end is north and which is south. Take several readings around the world and record the angle in respect to the ground. Also be sure to make detailed recordings of your travel times and speeds.

Here's my hypothesis of expected results. I would say that in either FE or RE approaching the north pole there would be a point where, experimentally or mathematically, there would be a convergence point. However south you should find that distance between longitudinal angles will increase as compared to north. Or north and south will give similar results.

Good luck!

Let me know how you went when you get back.

Because I have enough money to travel the world to take magnet measurements.

You never take vacations? Brah, I think it's about time then I reveal this get-rich-quick scheme for you. I 100% guarantee you LOTS of money.

Prove the world is flat, and 1.000.000$ would be NOTHING compared to all the money you would make by discovering, with definitive proof, that the Earth was flat, and then writing a book (or several) about it and the huge conspiracy, getting nobel prizes, getting movies made about this/you and getting royalties, getting interviews, become world-famous, making expeditions, selling merchandise etc etc etc etc

(in before "noone would believe just ONE person, no matter how good his proof is - not even ONE out of all the 6 billion people on this planet would check if his story was true, after seeing proper evidence. Even though this would be one of the biggest discoveries in the whole world.")

We've had this argument a million and a half times. One man against several different governments agencies would be considered a wackjob. Why would someone pay thousands to verify the claim of a "wackjob"? Also, the conspiracy could easily make me "go bye-bye" before the story broke.

It's called "ethics". Do the right thing in spite of the risks, for the good of all. You can find a way. Use the Internet and a physical proxy or two. It's easy to break the "big" story. Just ask Woodward and Bernstein.

Do you realise how many scientists (I think thats the term) look at pretty much every UFO-claim there is? Yes, everyone of the "abductees" is a wackjob, yet severeal to hundreds of people look over every photo from pretty much every UFO-claim. Do you really think, with some fine proof, NOONE is going to look over what you have to say? Just ONE have to claim you are correct, and then the snowball is rolling. I can't for the life of me realise how you can be so stupid to think that proving the world is flat with some proper proof (even if it was just a video-tape of the icewall, or meassuring the shadows of a stick in two continents or whatever) would NOT get even ONE person interested....

And yes you could do all this annoumysly (?) and sell the book that way, and then go public later if you want to: if you get killed, people know it was people from the conspiracy that did it, hence they would not kill you.

Serious question for the FE's: How does it feel that you have been lied to your whole life, about the shape entire frigging planet? How does it feel, knowing that 7 billion people is getting lied to every single day about something so huge as this? How does it feel that greedy people is making billions without offering anything at all to the world? How does it feel the world can be so corrupt?
And then how does it feel to just sit on your flat ass and do nothing at all about it, because you're a lazy SOB who don't even believe what your telling yourself?

Meh,it's kinda like when you find out Santa wasn't real when you were 5 or 6 or 19.... It makes me feel like I should do something, but then I realize that there is no realistic way I could make a bigger difference (without dying) then sitting here saying me theory.
