I recognise that effect, is it polarised?

No. I removed all the color, then assigned different shades of gray different colors. I can tell you how to do it on photoshop.

Wouldn't polarising it with a low number of colours result in a very similar effect? I'd try it myself but the computer with Paint Shop Pro on it is broken at the moment.

Phew, it's taken me 'til 2.15 in the morning but I'm finally finished my latest one: Turning Birmingham, UK into a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

Soze, would you be interested in creating an image for the front cover of my Electromagnetic Acceleratory theory (a.k.a. "bendy light") introductory document?

Just wondering if you ever got started on this. No rush if you didn't, because shortly after making this request I got banned for a couple of weeks and helped to set up the .me site, then moved house and a bunch of other crap and the moral of the story is I never finished writing up the documentation. I still will eventually, but it'll probably be another few months once I sort out some issues IRL such as my tendency to procrastinate and once this semester is over.

Also I am probably babbling incoherently and not using nearly as many commas as would normally be requisite, this is due to the fact that I am tired and - in an attempt to correct my sleeping patterns - staying awake on energy drinks. I hope that you can still derive some sort of useful meaning from these incoherent ramblings and hopefully I can talk to you and others on FES tomorrow with a clear head.
I'm going to side with the white supremacists.

Other people are welcome to post their artwork too.  :)

I'll do just that.

1. Here is a painting I made a few months back. It depicts the awakening of Cthulhu in the short story Call of Cthulhu by H.P. Lovecraft.
Pardon the quality, my cellphone camera is the only camera I possess. And the painting is too big to fit in the scanner.

EDIT: Better picture.

2. A digital drawing of a Flying Polyp. Also from the Cthulhu mythos.

3. And a work-in-progress digital painting of Mikael Akerfeldt. Singer and guitarist of the band Opeth.

Also, I hope it was ok to post a traditional painting. The thread is called Computer Artwork after all.  :D

Soze didn't seem to mind what was posted, but you're more than welcome to make your own thread if you like. This is fledgling board, so all contributions are welcome!

I don't know why I made this thread for only computer art. Any kind of art is fine with me.
If there are complaints, I'll just say it's still computer art because you are seeing art on a computer.

That is pretty beast. We are doing coloured pencil drawings in the art class I'm taking at school. The project is a combination of coloured pencil and enlarging pictures, or something like that. I drew the Travelocity gnome. I'll take a picture of it, and the tree I painted when I get them back from the teacher.

The image used to be hosted on my school website before I graduated. I only recently rediscovered it. It seems she scours the internet looking for Pepsi pics. Very odd really. Notice the Cool Pepsi pics versus the My Pepsi pics link. She knows not to take credit for them.

That's a hell of an easy Google Image search. Either she didn't think to take credit for a halfway decently hidden picture, or she drew it.

So far, I only know that Soze is intelligent, artistically capable, and that she has no known record of dishonesty. I'm gonna say that right now, I believe her.

That said, I also have no reason not to contact the Pepsi Lady to see if she 1. owns the picture in question, or 2. knows where it came from if it isn't hers. If all goes well, she can confirm aspects or the entirety of her story. Should she know the school's name, I will respect Soze's privacy and not name it.
If I was asked to imagine a perfect deity, I would never invent one that suffers from a multiple personality disorder. Christians get points for originality there.

I liked most of the art here but...

I don't get it. Is it the picture or is it the fact you were able to draw the picture. is it like driving a car at 200 miles an hour just to prove you could rather then the joy of going 200?
I don't get art sorry.  :( there is a reason I am a math major.

Good thinking. When I go home for Thanksgiving, I'll find it and take more pictures.

It was actually an art assignment, so the content really doesn't mean a lot.
The stuff I do, without being told what to do, is much more fun.
