Make up your mind, please.

Besides, perhaps FET is a conspiracy too.
It is just the way it is, you understanding it doesn't concern me.
When we are talking about RET, the sun illuminates a hemisphere. When we are talking about FET, then the "spotlight sun" illuminates a circle. Please try to keep up, will you?
Now, how do you propose that a spotlight sun could illuminate a non-circular area on a FE as required?
I'm going to side with the white supremacists.

Please try to keep up, will you? You're the one who made the claim that the Sun illuminating a non-circular region of the Earth was incompatible with reality, not me. Does this mean that you are conceding that RE is the correct reality?

You are the one that brought up the RE, not me.QuoteQuote from: markjo on April 17, 2009, 06:23:59 AMNow, how do you propose that a spotlight sun could illuminate a non-circular area on a FE as required?I do not know. Face it, there's a magical mirror in the sky, invisible to human eyes, undetected by modern science, which reflects light perfectly to make it look as though the Earth is round. Makes perfect sense.

Does this mean that the sun moves faster in the winter and slower in the summer? What causes its speed change?
The Earth has no angular momentum. It is the Sun which moves.
Quote from: PiratePete on April 14, 2009, 01:32:39 PMNo but it accurately represents the exposure the earth recieves from the sun. I'm pretty sure you know this and are just stalling for time.Of course. But I can distort a map of the Earth into any weird shape and say that the pattern of exposure represented could not be the result of parallel rays hitting a sphere. In fact, that (vaguely sinusoidal) pattern could not be caused by any such simple system. Please give us an accurate representation of the shape of the light cast by the Sun on the Earth, not a distorted one.
