Hi! I'm quite new here and I couldn't but notice a major flaw in your Flat Earth Theory. Didn't really know if I should have posted it in the other "newbie" forums but I thought I could lend to a bigger debate, so here it comes: ;)

     We all know there's a force or something which makes everything makes objects accelerate to the Earth at an average of 9.8m/s². Round Earthers believe that this is caused by a force called gravity which makes earth attract objects at 9.8m/s². Your theory points out that there's no gravity involving the Earth, you say it's the Earth which is accelerating upwards at 9.8m新^-2.

     Why if the Earth is accelerating upwards at 9.8m新^-2 aren't we reaching extreme velocities and thus crashing with other stellar objects?

    I have yet to apologize if I misunderstood anything, or if I posted anything grammatically wrong, for I am Spanish. Oh and please don't flame me with things such as "You're so wrong my head is about to explode" without adding a reasonable argument, I'm trying to make a serious debate here. I'll gladly answer any questions you have for me, as I've also thought about possible solutions to this case.

We are reaching extreme velocities, but we will not crash with other stellar objects. This is because those stellar objects are also affected by UA, which accelerates all objects in the universe at 9.8ms^-2.

Then we could say that it isn't everything accelerating upwards at 9.8m新^-2, but anything on earth accelerating downwards at 9.8m新^-2, is that right? Just to make it simpler to be discussed about and not to enter in conflict with light's maximum speed. Speed is relative after all.

Everything on Earth's surface is also accelerating 9.8ms^-2 upwards relative to an inertial observer.  Once you leave the surface of the Earth, you are no longer accelerating: the Earth accelerates up and catches you. The Earth just happens to shield us from the effects of UA.

So you mean by that that if we are in contact with the earth we stop accelerating downwards(supposing everything else is static, see my last post) and once we stop touching the earth, we do strart accelerating at -9.8ms^-2? What if we were in other planet, like Mercury, would it shield us from the effects of the UA too?

We never are accelerating downwards. Where did you get that from? Assuming there is no drag, we undergo an inertial motion once we leave the Earth's surface. The Earth catches us due to its upward acceleration.

That would depend on if Mercury is flat. Our Earth is special; it is not a planet, satellite, or star.

This depends on which frame of reference are you talking about. In the person's FoR, he is falling to the Earth. In a stationary observer's FoR (standing outside of the Earth), the Earth accelerates up toward the person.

If the planet is round and generates a field that shields the effects of UA, yes.

If we are not affected by the DE, then yes.

We would accelerate up still because of UA, because like you said, everything in the universe is accelerating because of UA.

In that hypothetical case I suppose we would be affected by the universal acceleration. Otherwise it would be violating the rules of thermodynamic.

What still doesn't stick in the puzzle is what does create that "shield".

The Earth creates the shield.  DE forms a type of 'bow shock' with the FE.

And also, Why when you travel round the earth, Can you get back to where you stared, And in an aeroplane you CAN see the curvature of the earth, I know, As i and many others have seen it, The government does not keep passengers quiet.

That's all fine and dandy for fluids (including gases), but two problems that I can see:

1)  is there any known form of energy that generates a bow shock?  (we are assuming that the UA is a form of energy, right?)

2)  according to the link, the bow shock would be on the wrong side of the FE.

First, the Earth is not traveling at 9m/s; it is accelerating at 9.8m/s² upward. Second, since the Earth is accelerating up, it catches the person after he jumps; he will not stay in mid air for long.

Circumnavigation is possible on FE. Your path is curved in the Earth's FoR.

Seriously, you can't. I have been to flights before and I have yet to see a single curvature.

Just because you don't understand a thing about FE doesn't mean the theory is flawed.

I still maintain my view, There is just too much to cover up, And they spend so much already.

Reading the FAQ, My point about seeing the curvature still stands, And the ice wall guarding is complete bull shit, Also, Your all extremely self centered, About how the sun and moon are smaller and only effect the earth.
