Is Everyone A Believer?
« on: May 25, 2008, 04:42:22 AM »
I'm new to this site. I have just spent some time reading through some of the threads and I must say it does seem as though some people on here are taking the mick (not serious). Am I mistaken?

There are believers, non-believers and devil's advocates.

I wasn't a believer at first, but now I am because I gave in to reason. Some people come here to troll, some come to debate civilly. Many civil people on here are REers, though the majority of REers are trolls.

I believe in the power of the FES.
I'm sorry. Am I to understand that when you have a boner you like to imagine punching the shit out of Tom Bishop? That's disgusting.

I never used to believe then FES Jesus came to me in a dream and told me to forgo my worldly possessions and desires in order to spread his word about the Flat Earth.

In fact, when I know what is meant by "mamelon" and "ravelin"
When I can tell at sight a Mauser rifle from a javelin
When such affairs as sorties and surprises I'm more wary at
And when I know precisely what is meant by "commissariat"

When I have learnt what progress has been made in modern gunnery
When I know more of tactics than a novice in a nunnery
In short, when I've a smattering of elemental strategy
You'll say a better Major-General had never sat a gee

You'll say a better Major-General had never sat a sat a gee

For my military knowledge, though I'm plucky and adventury
Has only been brought down to the beginning of the century
But still, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral
I am the very model of a modern Major-General

I believe the children are the future.

I believe the children are our future, but not our children's children, because I don't think children should be having sex.
