Sure and if that tool impersonating a serviceman was to produce one, it'd be obviously fake. If someone who has a reliable base of knowledge in the field makes that claim and produces a license, I'm more inclined to believe it.

The guy asked questions and all of you divert to debate to try to proof if he is a pilot. It doent matter if he is  pilot or not, his questions are still valid. Do you answer just to pilots ?

I'd blast anyone that masquerades as an armed service member. It also directly had to do with his premise. He said he had seen the earth's curvature from the air. He also said several things that weren't true while trolling the site -- why would I answer his question? I really don't owe him anything, do I?

I've had a look through my old photos, but I've only ever taken some during take-off or above the low-level clouds, so no curvature.

Why do you need to look your photos ? Can't you just remember what earth look like at 40 000 ft since you've  been on long distance MANY times?

I apologise for my obviously flawed memory, but no, I can't.
Partly because I've never looked for the supposed curve. I normally just enjoy the drinks and films.

I went to Hawai just one time (24h of fligth from Montreal, Canada) 25 years ago and I remember clearly to have seen the curvature of the earth. In fact, that what it convince me, beyond anything else, that the earth is round.

Honestly, I've apologised for my memory, I have no recollection of seeing (or looking for) the curvature.

I am, however, flying next Friday; so I'll be sure to look out for it and let you know.
