Answer this one please
« on: January 22, 2008, 09:20:36 PM »
I can't believe this. I have flown in plains. People are documented to have flown around the world. I guess they flew around the "edge" AND JUST NEVER LOOKED TO THERE LEFT!

But really though....The real "QUESTION" I want answered is this...

If the world was flat I should be able to get to an elevation higher than any mountain (plain or something) and look through a telescope above the united states, and see the great wall of China, Or the outback of Australia, Or the pyramids in Egypt. I can't, my line of sight will continue off into space as the curve of the sphere drops off.

C-Mon guys there is no answer that supports FE theory.

I think this site is here just to give some bored out of there minds people something to rant about. :o

BZZZZZZ

Wrong answer. I covered that. If your elevated far above the highest mountian at some point you would see the entire disk. And if the disk curved for the "vanishing point" then the force of the disk moving up"your theory of gravity" would cause every thing other side of the equator to slide right off the edge.

Very poor

If by far enough, you mean, "in space" then, yes, you are right. And the disk doesn't curve, it's flat. why would everything fall off the edge?

The way this equator line is drawn shows curve to this disk. Based on this things below equator would slide off the edge.

And what makes you so sure the pic isnt a real one. Because it looks like the view from the plain just farther away. :P

reality 101, you are a very intelligent 3rd grader. Just so that you know, most of the senior members on this site are older than 20. Please don't waste your time with such rubbish. The Internet has far better things to offer than fighting with some deluded sociopaths.

Its just entertainment. This can't be real for real.

Besides, the answer of pilots conspiring to miss lead us, or there GPS are rigged Are just using cop-outs.
(what about before gps)
Kind of like "I don't recall" is a valid answer in court. But accusations of conspiracy with no proof is empty.

Well I am a pilot, and there is no conspiracy. Guess what....its round you can all sleep well now.

I think that the universe is in one of those ball things you shake up and set down. In the beginning, a giant shook the ball and slammed it down(Big Bang). Now its all just playing out until the ball settles. At which time the giant will shake it up again(the end of time)
