Alright, here's a quick idea of mine. If earth is being pushed up by dark matter, some of it is going to slip around and move faster, because it is not being slowed down by the earth. Now say a meteor heads towards the earth. Wouldn't the dark matter that had slipped around the earth deflect it away?
