Can you present evidence that the world is flat with material other than poorly MS Painted pictures?
yay books
kk, so if I quiz you on a few things you'll be able to answer my questions because you've read all of those books and know they're reliable, right?

Okay, first I'll throw you an old one: What's up with Magellan?

Magellan did indeed circumnavigate the earth.

In Flat Earth Theory the earth is shaped like a pancake.

North is Hubward, South is Rimward, East is Turnwise, and West is Widdershins.

Any further questions?

Magnetic North is at the center of the disk.

A compass always points North, which makes East and West curved.

Ergo, Magellan circumnavigated the Flat Earth.

I prefer the pictures that at least attempt to get Australia someone close to South America.

I thought Australia doesn't exist.
Question Number 2: Has anyone filmed the whole Perimeter of the Ice Wall? Also, how does the Government keep such close tabs on their troops guarding the Ice Wall? I'm sure someone has slipped up somewhere at some point in time. After all, the Earth has been around for many, many many years.

From our perspective. However, the universe is much bigger than that, good sir.

As for evidence of a round Earth, it wouldn't matter. You'd just pass it off as a part of the big conspiracy.

Wait, so you came here to insult our beliefs when you yourself have no actual evidence to support your hypothetical model of the earth?

I don't believe I have insulted your beliefs. I would give you pictures of the round Earth, but you would pass it off as fake so why bother? Besides it's already been said. I haven't seen the Earth from my own perspective from space, but a flat Earth defies physics.

Also, a bunch of books doesn't do it for me.

Australia exists in Flat Earth Theory.

There are no guards on the Ice Wall. That's a myth. The Ice Wall is free for anyone to visit and study.

From Proof 78 of "One Hundred Proofs the Earth is Not a Globe" we read:

"Yes, but we can circumnavigate the South easily enough," is often said by those who don't know, The British Ship Challenger recently completed the circuit of the Southern region - indirectly, to be sure - but she was three years about it, and traversed nearly 69,000 miles - a stretch long enough to have taken her six times round on the globular hypothesis. This is a proof that Earth is not a globe.

The Captain James Clark Ross debate was already debunked.  Among other things 69,000 miles was his total millage.  We asked for proof since you claimed he said Antarctica was 69,000 miles around.  You never posted anything.  So try again.

Edit: Now that I think about it, you did post the part where it supposedly supported you.  We all laughed because Ross said it was the total mileage.

Sir James Clark Ross did not captain the H.M.S. Challenger. This is an entirely different expedition.

If you would like proof that Antarctica is 69,000 miles around you will have to circumnavigate it yourself. As of now all we have is the word of the few sailors who have sailed around its coast.

They have. To see studies of the 150 foot Ice Walls which sit at the coast of Antarctica do a Google search for "Ice Sheves."

I NEED YOU TO SHOW ME A FLAT EARTH.

If you want to see a Flat Earth just look out your window.
All I see is my neighbors house.

On a more serious note: the horizon simply looks flat, but it's not flat. How do you account for the fact that ships reaching the limits of the horizon seem to "sink" if you will?

Tom's answer is small waves obscure large portions of ships. Of course, this is complete and utter bullshit. One thing to remember about Tom is when given a post he simply cannot refute, he will completely ignore it and pretend it never happened. Don't take Tom seriously, no one does.

"Q: Why hasn’t this site been shut down by the government?

A: Doing so would prove that the government is hiding something."

Or quite possibly because the government doesn't have time for ridiculous theories such as these. In fact, I hardly doubt the government even knows about this site, much less gives a shit.

so now ur gona tell me the earth is the center of the universe lol

What if I see mountains?

Try looking in another direction then. Do you see flat or round?

Hence, we have observational evidence that the earth is flat.

What evidence do you have showing that the earth is, in fact, round?
The RE Primer provides observational evidence that the Earth is, in fact, round. Your "out the window" observation is not conclusive as Experiment #0001 demonstrates.

i believe the world is an oblate spheroid. anything i say that contradicts this is purely for the sake of argument.

Also, is there some grand dissension among the ranks here? I am noticing that there are many long term members here that completely disagree with the philosophies this forum is based on.
