One of the biggest corporations in America--and the world--DISAPPEARING, leaving thousands unemployed, people without their DAILY USAGE of this system, and a huge economy crisis in its wake would be, I would assume, far more substantial than an ice wall that nobody has ever seen in their entire life, residing on what we assume is the South Pole where nobody goes anyways.

~D-Draw

If no one has seen it, where is the evidence that it exists? That seems like some pretty big guesswork there. It pervades the vast majority of the flat earth support- it's a lot of guesswork.

"Well, what about NASA and the space photos?"
"DOCTORED!"
"The edge of the Earth?"
"A BIG WALL OF ICE!"

I try to be willing to at least look at this theory, but it just seems so silly to me that everything is substantiated on a giant conspiracy.

Occam's Razor, guys. Please.

I lol'd.

" to note or observe a difference; distinguish accurately: to discriminate between things.  "

So did I.

Quote
I was simply discriminating that you didn't understand why I said what I did.

You were simply "'noting or observing a difference' that {I} didn't understand why {you} said what {you} did"?
I think you meant "implying," sweetie. :)

Quote
Cute.

You, too, honey. We should 'hang out' sometime. ;)

Quote
Yes. Yes, they are. Very much so. I don't see what you're getting at here.

~D-Draw

Hang on, let me discriminate what I meant. After I'm done discriminating, you should have a much better idea of what I was saying. Discrimination solves everything!

Also, had you simply provided me with some highly scientific evidence of the kind I recently found, I would have certainly seen the error of my ways much sooner.

This semantics argument is unsettling. I was using discriminating similarly to "noting." Just because you don't get it doesn't mean it doesn't work, lovely.

If you think Google is just a search engine, then you're a bigger idiot than I thought.

Okay, okay. You got me there. Google is a lot more than a search engine. They have many features! Like searching for video, books, finance information...You have a google blogger, google maps, google earth, google e-mail...They are a lot of things. So yeah...

When you talk about the Government, you're clearly referring to the American government. The rest of the world at the minute doesn't really like the current American government that much, why would they go along with such a ludicrous conspiracy?

Bush has links with fundamentalist creationist groups anyway, surely he'd be pretty sympathetic to the Flat Earth theory and literal belief in the Bible?

The absurdity of this thread is hilarious.

Link and Inbredwhatever, clearly the world is flat. Although there have been countless claims even before any modern governments that prove otherwise, there can be no logical explanation. The horizon looks flat so it MUST be flat.

Read the Conclusive Categorical Conspiracy Compendium linked in the FAQ. Bush probably doesn't know about it, and the governments probably don't know much about it, it's just instinctual to talk about "the conspiracy" as "the government." NASA is the head of the conspiracy, and obviously RASA and the Chinese space exploration industry are in on it, too, as they've all been to space. NASA is obviously the head of the conspirators at the moment, though.

The world leaders and governments really don't have much to do with it. They just give out our tax money to "space exploration," and are duped along with the rest of us.
