Here Goes...
« on: July 19, 2007, 09:15:15 AM »
First of all. I read the FAQ. I searched, but it is a waste of my time to post in 80 other topics to ask my questions when they can just be answered CORRECTLY (or generally) here. I know that people here tend to beat around the bush when seriously questioned about the FE theory, but here goes.

1. Government Conspiracy?! Are you serious?!
Lets take a second and really analyze this theory. First of all, whoever thought that only 40 or even 400 of the 6 BILLION people inhabiting this earth could very probably cover up something as vast as this is just mad. All it takes is one big mouthed person to tell some other big mouthed (yet, very credible) person, and the whole "secret" is "f***ed" Also, beyond all the "ZOMG WE'RE GONNA GET SO RICH" theory. What is the REAL motive for "lying" about the earth? Are you seriously going to tell me that this country (the most "wealthy", yet in a billion dollar DEBT) can actually AFFORD to FAKE this? It would be much cheaper AND more profitable if they just DID WHAT THEY SAID THEY'VE DONE. NEXT!!!

2. Seasons, sunrise, and sunset. (Also the moon and such)
Alrighty now. In my opinion, you really can't explain WHY there are seasons or the sun rising and setting. You just throw a bunch of numbers out there, say that they are correct, and then plug your ears and say "LALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALA" It is NOT theoretically possible for something FLAT to orbit around a body such as the sun, without losing control OR having a gravitational field (which we supposedly do not). I mean, you can't even explain day and night properly. Somebody says "....blah blah day...night..." you say, "Well the earth accelerates upwards at the same rate that stuff accelerates downwards (in the RE theory)" I'm sorry, but am I the ONLY one to realize that they aren't actually answering questions? Yes I know thats now how you've "answered" the question... I'm no idiot..  ::)

Cited from the FAQ.
Q: "What about the stars, sun and moon and other planets? Are they flat too? What are they made of?"

A: The sun and moon, each 32 miles in diameter, circle Earth at a height of 3000 miles at its equator, located midway between the North Pole and the ice wall. Each functions similar to a "spotlight," with the sun radiating "hot light," the moon "cold light." As they are spotlights, they only give light out over a certain are which explains why some parts of the Earth are dark when others are light. Their apparent rising and setting are caused by optical illusions.

I mean seriously, your theories are based on the same principles as magic and sorcery. This also does NOT explain seasons and how different parts of the earth experience different weather patterns and different times of the year. (Time, also based on the RE Theory)

Also, a quick blurb about satelites and time and such...

I don't understand how satelites do not exist, when you can simply go to google.com, type in your address and actually SEE the top of your house, job, apartment, school, etc. etc. Are you telling me that my eyes are lying to me too? I Know what my 'hood' looks like.

As I have to wrap this up, i will end today with time (i'm not done ladies)
The "theory" of time is based on a round earth. Period. Days are when the EARTH, not the sun, has one full rotation on its axis (which it would not have, nor be doing if it were flat) Years are when the EARTH, not the sun, has one full rotation around the SUN. IF the earth were flat, these theories would be utter garbage, and out calendar would be F***ed. I don't have time to finish, so flame on ladies. I feel it coming.

You know what... If you really get sick of answering the same questions over and over and over again. Just don't. People who truly support and believe in a cause, back it to the fullest. At least I do.

The FAQ is outdated, numerous people are replacing it cutrrently. See Gully's primer, the new FAQ.

Who said the Earth doesn't have a gravitational field?  You're making shit up, aren't you =/

So only a satellite can provide a picture of the top of your house?  Damn, all these pictures I took in an airplane of the tops of houses must not exist...

I encourage you to read Chapters 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 of Earth Not a Globe by Dr. Samuel Birley Rowbotham.

Also of interest is Zetetic Cosmogony by Thomas Winship.

Also, a quick blurb about satelites and time and such...

Satellites exist as stratospheric airships; lighter than air vehicles much like the Geostationary Banana Over Texas.

First of all. I read the FAQ.
No, you didn't.  You probably skimmed it.  Otherwise you would know how the FE seasons work.  And how 'gravity' works on the FE.

To be fair the FAQ is inadequate.

Tom, stop using your discredited deductive arguements. If you say that there must be a conspiracy because the Earth is flat, and it is making us think the Earth is round when it isn't, you're just creating a circle. And Rowbotham was wrong, as has been stated.

To the OP, pretty much everything you've been asked can be explained on a FE. The only thing that I've found that hasn't been accurately answered is the sunsets and eternal sun thing (correct me if I'm wrong).
