Ask a Market Anarchist
« on: May 10, 2007, 03:12:38 PM »
This is a thread dedicated for newbies to the topic who wish to ask intelligent questions.

First, if you don't know what Market Anarchy is, please read the FAQ on the front page of simplyanarchy.com

Here are some fundamental principles of Market Anarchy:

1. The State is the enemy of society, and is logically and morally unjustifiable.

2. Universality principle: any moral or organizational principle must apply to all people at all time and places, or it is just an opinion or a power grab. (ex. if you claim that murder is evil, then it must be evil for ANYONE to murder, including soldiers, policemen, bureaucrats, etc).

3. The initiation of force is unjustifiable. Any form of organization (even coercive ones) must be founded on free individual decision.

4. The market is a process of voluntary economic interactions within a society. On a market, the individual is in control of his own life, and is free to cooperate with others in order to achieve values. Self-rule is manifested by consumer behaviour.

So, no one who's interested in the topic, not even a convinced statist who'd like to take an Anarchist down a peg or two? I'm surprised.

I'm interested, not to argue though. Sounds like good sensible behaviour to me, a bit of anarchy. That's the stuff to give the troops!
