Commerical Space Flight
« on: April 26, 2007, 03:52:55 AM »
This guy forked out 25 million dollars to circle above the earth for 2 weeks.

Right.

FE'rs explain - is this man in on the conspiracy? I suppose he must be. But what evidence do you have to show that.
It was decided that Tom's abuse of his suspiciously acquired mod powers was too much to let continue.  His account was deleted.

"This guy"

I guess there are "this guy"'s involved in the conspiracy. But I would presume there are others that aren't.

so....do the FE'ers believe this guy, or not? also, how come space flight is impossible in the FE theory?

That guy didn't fork out 25 million dollars for a rocket flight into space. That guy paid 25 million dollars to be injected with a variety of psychotropic drugs, led through a maze and into a space simulator amusement ride. He was so 'spaced out' during the trip that his imaginations made the experience seem real.

Spaceflight is impossible because the earth and the cosmos are accelerating upwards at 9.8 m/s2.

Experiment: Drop a pencil. Do you see acceleration?

Clear indisputable evidence for acceleration.

That guy probably did fork out 25 million dollars for a rocket flight into space. However as I firmly believe in the 'conspiracy' I think that the guy paid 25 million dollars to be injected with a variety of psychotropic drugs, led through a maze and into a space simulator amusement ride. He was so 'spaced out' during the trip that his imaginations made the experience seem real, despite how inplausible that is.

Of course!

You see, the only proof they need for the Conspiracy is that the earth is flat.  Since the earth is flat, and we have evidence that the earth is round, it must be a Conspiracy.

And to answer the question about why sustained space flight is impossible, I think it has something to do with radiation.

why would a pencil falling downwards accelerate? there is nothing pushing it to accelerate anyways. but, with a rocket, there is something pushing it to give it acceleration. planes can fly in the sky, what is stopping a rocket from going even further and into sapce?

There is plenty of other evidence for a Conspiracy. Look up the Apollo moon hoax for a bunch of evidence showing NASA to be a fraudulent entity. The last I checked, in a poll it was found that one out of six Americans have their doubts about the moon landing.

Objects accelerate at 9.8 m/s2 when dropped. If you watch the pencil closely as it falls (or rather, as the earth catches up to it) you will notice that the pencil continually increases in velocity.

With the Earth continually accelerating upwards, sustained spaceflight becomes impossible. A spacecraft would require infinite fuel.

The pencil accelerates, yes. This acceleration is caused by the force of gravity attracting the pencil. Why? Because it makes as much sense as acceleration, if not more.

Wow, thanks for the insight, studmuffin! :-*

I've seen the evidence that the Apollo moon landing was fraudulent.  I decided that , as bullshit goes, it wasn't as entertaining as the idea of a flat earth, so here I am!

It must constantly eject mass if it wants to stay above the earth.

ok....so we can't go into space cuz we need an infinite amount of fuel. how much would we need if we wanted to stay in space for 5 minutes and then come back down? planes can stay in the air for several hours. i don't see why a rocket couldn't stay up there for even 5 minutes and have enough to do so.

You could probably carry enough for five minutes, but not much longer.

u do know u just admitted that space flight is possible then....

if we could stay up there for 5 minutes....then how come we haven't tried? i mean, i would the government would spend billions of dollars on doing that, rather than a conspiracy about the round earth....it just doesn't make any sense.

how come a rocket could only stay 5 minutes in space....but an airplace can fly for hours on end?

I've always stated 'sustained' spaceflight.  As in more than a couple of days.

What I mean if space flight is only possible for about 5 minutes its highly unlikely any government would waste all that money on it just for that. So no photos.

i believe the government would waste money on that....we could learn so much. as technology gets better, they may find a way to have sustained space flights....and being able to spend 5 minutes up there is starting point to real space travel.

All we'd learn is what the Earth looks like. And some people are convinced of that anyway. I think that money is much better spent on other things.

pfft...that is not all we'd learn. then, we could travel to other planets for real and check em out...maybe move there one day if our earth takes a shit on us. maybe we could for real walk on the moon. lots of stuff could be learned from going to space.

if we are constantly accelerating upwards and it would take so much energy to put a rocket into space then why is it so easy for a helium ballon to float and if you let it go it will magically out accelerate the earth??
Only 2 things are infinite the universe and human stupidity, but I am not sure about the former.
