My experience
« on: April 17, 2007, 12:49:44 PM »
I am in the RAF cadets in my school, and I am training to be a pilot. On a clear day I can reach 5000ft & I can see with my own eyes the curvature of the earth. If the earth were flat, then how comes no-one has fallen off the edge? How comes gravity is central everywhere? When you next get on a jet-liner and you are cruising at high altitude look out of the windows & tell me you can't see a few degrees variation.

And another question, how comes there are so many pictures from space, do you think they are all photoshopped? I am genuinely interested in your opinions and how you came to them.

Thanks, SGT MattyW

Uh oh spaghettios!!

Brilliant play of supreme, all-encompassing refutation of the established norms. Absolute brilliance.
My problem with his ideas is that it is a ridiculous thing.

Genius. PURE, undiluted genius.

We have actual pilots on this forum who say they've never seen curvature.

I have myself reached an altitude of 40,000 feet and have seen no degree of curvature.

then how comes no-one has fallen off the edge?

Because due to the Flat Earth's magnetic layout circumnavigation is completely possible.

I compared the 40,000 foot altitude horizon to a straightedge. It's flat.

The Conspiracy fakes its pictures for the reasons I describe in this thread.

Maybe because you were looking through an inverse fish eye that eliminated curvature!

At least its no less ridiculous than your 'theories'.

I neither believe in a flat earth nor claim to believe in a flat earth, and I've never seen the curvature... of course, I've only been in a plane a few times, but you'd think it'd only take once (if it's a clear day)...

Honestly, my gut is that your (OP) post is utter bullshit...

Where did you educate the biology, in toulet?

I'm surprised we've made it this far and refraction hasn't come up once.

RAF?!  You're in on the conspiracy too!!!
Come on Flat Earthies, I wanna hear the explanation for the Earth's curvature.

Some of your theories do interest me, but you honestly believe that everyone who has seen the curvature of the earth is in on some conspiracy? That's not a very good conspiracy if it's half the world.

Oh. I assumed everyone is taking this seriously. It's not everyday that major scientific theories are attempted to be disproved, so I want your honest opinion on it.
