Don't like movies that are based on a character like yourself, eh? Too bad. I found some great lines in that movie.

Great lines? Enlighten me. I found it just a mess of the most random and unnecessary utterings which made absolutely no comprehensible sense pragmatically. I think that I ALMOST cracked a smile one time in the movie when he's talking to his llama.

And that's not to mention that it was one of those movies a la Monty Python and the Holy Grail where people quoted every last line until it was beaten so hard it just wasn't funny anymore at all (and in Napolean Dynamite's case, it was never funny in the first place--can you say beating a dead horse?).

Honestly, it was nothing more than a shame to independent film-making.

First of all, Napoleon Dynamite is nothing like me or Diego at all.

We don't have llamas
We aren't in the flapping hands club or whatever the fuck

I agree with Diego when he says it's a shame to independent film-making. Since the movie was an absolutely car crash of retardedness. The main fanbase is young teenage girls who wear bondage pants and guys who think they are 'oh so different cuz they have a fashionable emo hair cut '. Fuck that fanbase.

LOL, the amount of time spent by you on this forum shines through with that last statement.  As for your first, I cannot believe thinking human beings can watch a movie, such as Napoleon Dynamite, and think "Hey, I coulda made this film!  Then I'd be forty million dollars richer!" - you see, my point is that it wasn't entertaining because it was too banal, unoriginal, and had no plot whatsoever.  I think the worst part was the fairy-tale ending.

Anything can be educational - you just have to know what you're learning from it.

Honestly...I could have thrown that movie together in seconds. They must've been lucky and known someone who made movies (seeing as it came out in mainstream theaters, and I don't think they would have invested so much to show it in such theaters). But really, it's just a bunch of bullshit that's not even funny, and totally disrespects any hope in my mind that independent films can still be good--and that's a sad struggle for me because I'm an independent film-maker myself...

What amount of time? I've been visiting this forum for only the past week or so. For one main reason... to get away from studying. Once exams are done, and it's summer, I'll actually be outside, or working... not sitting on a parody forum crying about why my life sucks, like you. If you're life is so terrible, fuckin' do something about it. Crying to people over the internet won't help, it'll only make you more depressed.
