So I am a little confused

I read the FAQ and I'm still rather...baffled.

I don't want to gun you guys down for having an alternate belief of the shape of the world. There are a lot of things that are just accepted as a fact, and "the earth is round" is one of them, so it's cool that you guys don't believe this.

However, it defies a lot of laws of science. Especially gravity. If the earth isn't round, we would be plumeting into nothing because the gravitational pull toward the sun would mess up with the shape. Considering we're sucked toward the sun around the equator (if you guys believe this exists?), which is why the equator is hotter (because its closest to the sun). If there is no center gravitational pull, and if there is, it would not be enough to keep us in orbit, why are we still in contact with the sun?

I also read on the FAQ that you're guys' theory on the sunset is that we're actually moving farther away from the sun. Please elaborate further on this as I am slightly confused as to how this would work. If we move further away from the sun at sunset, how do we move back at sunrise?

There are no simple explanations on a flat earth. They don't believe in gravity, but in 'gravitation' which is apparently the illusion of gravity caused by our constant upward acceleration which is powered by giant space unicorns* The sun isnt the sun as we know it, but a 32km disc that acts like a spotlight. Sunset and sunrise are a combination of perspective and weird optical illusions. For further (lack of) clarification read Earth: Not A Globe, it will only take you about 10 years....


*Space unicorns are not endorsed by Flat Earth Theory. The rest of the above is though. Tom Bishop is the messiah.

They don't care about gravity. They praise the Acceleration which means the Earth, sun, moon, etc is accelerating upwards constantly.

Don't be surprised if you get an inappropriate response from them.

So, if gravity doesn't exist, then neither does weight measured in pounds? After all, weight is the gravitational pull of your body mass to the earth. We weigh nothing? Lb. variation doesn't exist? If we are all flying upward, what causes this? There are clear explanations for the earth, moon, ect. gravitational pull toward the sun, but none for the acceleration upward. More elabortion please.

You guys also say it's all a government conspiracy. A WORLDWIDE government conspiracy. If the disarray of our world, aka war, exists, then clearly this WORLDWIDE government conspiracy does not.

Why, now? Because no one would die for their  country just to make a conspiracy more plausible. Oh, wait, the 1,000's of soldiers dying don't know about this conspiracy, only TEH SUPAR 1337 OFFICIALS DO, right? There are not enough sick people in power for this to work. One country would stab another's back and unmask the conspiracy, blame it on the other country, and life moves on.
Our minds don't work in unity with our enemies like that.

Flat Earthers are not scientists. At best they are pseudoscientists.

No-one who assesses the evidence and comes to the conclusion the Earth is flat is a scientist. A conspiracy nut yes, a fool maybe, but not a scientist.

They're just believers really.

GRAVITY IS A PSEUDO FORCE EVEN IN THE RE!  IT DOES NOT EXIST AS A FORCE!  GOOD LORD CAN YOU PEOPLE NOT DO SOME RESEARCH?!?!

Now, the FE does not have a gravitational field, and the gravitation we experience is due to the acceleration of the earth.
