When and where did you witness this miraculous event?

Umm I saw it on campus, last semester when it happened.  The physics department had telescopes set out.

Venus crossed in 2004 and will cross again in 2012.

Your questions have been answered countless times on this forum. They've been answered over a hundred years ago by Earth Not a Globe.

The obits of all the plants are precisely know.  That’s why they also know when planets cross the sun.  Therefore you have a distance.  Then using a simple triangle and other angles along with the zoom power you can figure out the size.
