alright, so its all a conspiracy!
« on: February 27, 2007, 02:12:31 PM »
and the government is out to somehow make money out of the earth being flat. suppose the government pays anyone who could prove that the earth is flat a large sum of money. how much would that sum need to be to ensure they STFU? im guessing it would need to be in the £1,000,000 upwards range (anyone who could prove the earth flat would gain a lot more money from blabbing than a million quid but the next bit will put it in perspective).
say the government is willing to pay that amount to anyone involved to keep quiet. that would mean that every physicist, astronomer, pilot, government official a whole army of various engineers and anyone whos ever been to antactica would be on the pay role. how the hell can that many people keep quiet?

Neither physicists, astronomers, pilots, government officials, or engineers would need to know the shape of the earth to do their jobs.

an astronomer doesn't need to know the world is flat to do his job?
lmao!

did you pull that one from one of your 'teachers' from 1881?

Not to mention the governemnt changes every 4 years.  So all the new people that come in need to be told the Earth is flat then paid to keep quite, and then passs it on the next groupe of people.

The entire government doesn't change every four years, just for your information. Only the executive administration does.

The current administration would not need to know the true shape of the earth to do its job, either.

They can't that's why Bishop is out to announce the truth!

Seriously now, 'brothers' of the RE(LOL) these people have never been on a plane, they never went to school, they dont believe what they dont see, they dont believe in Government, they dont believe in pictures, they dont believe in Video, they dont belive in Science... In Antartica, in Australia? lmao! (yet they believe this)

lol
How is this even a conspiracy at all? this is the biggest nonsense I've ever heard!

What are they looking at in the sky? At Other ROUND planets, at the axis of other planets as they travel through our galaxy, which rotates around the sun.

I guess the earth being flat would'nt have any effects on any of that right? Astronomy as we know it wouldn't change a thing. An Astronomer doesn't need to know.... lmao!

No they wouldn't, there could be people above them that the public doesn't know about who keep it secret, and if they don't know about it they certainly can't tell anyone.

Nope. Very few people in the Government would need to know about the Conspiracy. The only people who need to know are the conspirator puppetmasters themselves: The exclusive group of people profiting directly from NASA's multi billion dollar budget.

are you saying other planets ARE round?

You do know...earth is a planet right? or does FE theory deny that as well?
I woun't bother looking for the definition of a "Planet" but im sure it's round, and it rotates around the sun.

You need to go learn how planets are made. Every star and every other planet is round yet for some reason the Earth is flat?

Why do planes appear to fly lower and lower as they fly farther and farther away from you? Why does the plane dissapear in the horizon as it goes down?

All the Air Force pilots in the world in must be in on it as well. The fighter planes fly pretty damn fast and high to be able to see something as ridiculous as the 'edge'.

Well, I can't be sure but I think FE'ers would say that Earth is not a planet, at least not by the common definition of a planet (a body revolving around a star).  But if you're just going by the fact that people call it a planet, I am an animal and so is a bird, but only one of us flies.

Yep.

FE denies that the earth is a spherical planet.

The definition of "round and rotates around the sun" is very vague. I suppose asteroids and space junk are planets, too.

I believe the RE model btw, I just like to see arguments that don't amount to "you're wrong!"

Then read the books Earth Not a Globe and One Hundred Proofs the Earth is Not a Globe and get back to us. If those books aren't enough, I've made a list of 52 Flat Earth books and references availiable here.

sounds like a FEer is picky about what he reads or believes... he wouldn't believe anything in Science books.

I didn't define that. I said "PLANET" is round and rotates around the sun. Asteroids are not round, and space junk ? what space junk... from astronauts? what astronauts? lmao! I thought you dont believe that... any other space junk is not round either by the way...

omgzor 52 books that say the Earth is flat.  I can find 52 books that say 1 +1 =3.  I can also find 52 million books that state the Earth is round.  lol that 101 reason why the Earth is flat book was written in the 1800's.  Back then they didnt even know about the atom.  People learn over time.  Well some people, people that believe the Earth is flat dont.

lets say that france isnt in on it. whats stopping french scientists, french plane pilots and all that jazz from investigating FE theory and proving that the earth is flat? foreign countries? foreign countries are going to have a bad enough time looking after their own country let alone a whole bunch of other ones.

France IS in on it.  According to the FE theory, there aren't any countries with the capabilities to prove FE that aren't in on it.

So? Your science is based on a book written in the 1600's.

France can do all of the flat-earth research it wants. Do you think by this point anyone would believe them? Would it help a French scientist's career to come out and claim that the earth is flat?

Some countries already do believe that the earth is flat. It makes no difference to the Conspiracy.

I know, that's why you need to include the second part of my post, not just the part about France.  And if you read the FAQ you might have seen the link to a thread explaining only Russia and China need to be in on it anyway.

it bloody would help his career if he provided FACTS which PROVE that the earth is flat. how many scientists get a discovery on this scale?
