I notice that there is now a counter that shows us our total time logged in.  Is this to remind us that we have no lives?

What do you guys want the ranks to be called? So far all there is is "Newbie" for 0-499 posts, and then "Regular" for 500+.

I'm strongly against ranks of any kind that aren't custom to the user.  Otherwise people just spam to get them.

I'm having a hard time getting used to the new layout. I change to babylon, but I still don't like the look of it...

Good idea, I didn't think to try to see if there were other skins available.  I'm used to Babylon from another forum, so this is a little more familiar.

I'm switching the smilies over to the old phpBB-style smilies.  The default SMF ones are weird looking and bad.

I'm also willing to consider a new theme/skin if everyone hates this one.  What, specifically, do people not like about it?  Too blocky?  Too much scrolling?  Bad colours?

Too blocky and the colours are too flashy and contrast too much with the background, I actually really like this shade of blue, but too much contrast with it and the background.

Ok, I added the FES logo to the SMF Core theme, so it doesn't look like a generic template anymore.  I've also installed English Steel, which a few people seem to like.  I'm still quite fond of the current theme, so I'm going to leave that as the default.  People are free to change their own theme to any of the available ones, though, by going into your profile and changing the "Look and Layout Preferences".
