Flat Earth...?
« on: February 17, 2007, 12:28:09 PM »
Ok, to start this out im not here to call you guys dumb or use any rude comments. Please do excuse my spelling, as just because I dont spell everything right doesn't mean I cant use logic.

Ok on to the subject at hand. I'm a nonbeleaver in the 'Earth is flat' theory. Tell me why I should beleave what you guys beleave, and i'll do the same on my part. Please no useless comments or anything. I really want to know why do you think the earth is flat, i'll start.

I beleave the Earth is round because, it's in space. Most of y'all are thinking im insane right about now but just wait. What I beleave it that the Earth is spining, on an axis. Now space is a vacum (just for the peope that don't know that *wink*), most people beleave that the Earth was hit by an Asroid giving Earth it's spin and the aftermath of the two coming together split the Earth in about 1/3 or 1/4, and the mass that came from the Earth after its impact formed into the Moon, ok I wanted to give a backround of a theory I beleave. So here it is. Two huge masses in space, both spinning. Now they both have there own gravaity. As it spins the gravaity holds everything together. So its compacting it into a ball. This happens with the Earth and the Moon. So thats my basic theory, on how the Earth, and the Moon is round.

You're turn, anser these for me.

How do you explain tides?
What about the seasons?
And why hasn't anyone explored the 'Ice wall' that surrounds the 'flat' Earth, and if they have please show some pics.
And people that have flown 'around the World', explain to me how they flew around a flat earth.
How thick is the 'flat Earth'?

Last one... Whats on the other side?

They have. Search for "antarctica" in Google Image Search.

Circumnavigation is possible on the Flat Earth. See the FAQ.

At least two hundred kilometers deep.

Q: "Why do the all the world Governments say the Earth is round?"

A: It's a conspiracy

We fight and wage Wars, but yet we work together to keep a "conspiracy"?

Quote
Q: "If the world was really flat, what would happen if you jump off the disc's edge?"

A: You would enter an inertial reference frame, moving at a constant velocity in the direction the Earth was moving before you jumped. The Earth would continue accelerating upwards past you at a rate of 1g, so it would appear to you that you were falling into space.

Ok, would it be possable? My theory on Gravaity is all about mass. The bigger things are the more Gravaity it has. If we had a flat Earth then if you tryed to jump off the side wouldn't you be crushed? seeing how the earth has more pull from that side?

Quote
Q: "What about gravity?"

A1: The Earth is accelerating upwards at 1g (9.8m/s-2) along with every star, sun and moon in the universe. This produces the same effect as gravity.

What made everything to move upwards at 1g (9.8/s-2)?

Now you know how I feel, why would the Earth fight with it's self but still work together to keep something like this from us?

RE theory of gravity holds no water without the existance of a hypothetical particle called the "gravitron."

It's not just moving, it's accelerating. The acceleration is caused by expansion of the universe.

1. The Earth is MASSIVE. It's on such a wide scale it looks flat, and if you do look out in the flatlands, you CAN see a curve.

2. I read consprisy about 50 times. If thats what you telling me to do.

3. I'm reading it as we speak.

4. I'll get back to you on it.

It sets a clear precedent for a flat earth. And no, RE curvature would be perfectly flat until at least 60,000 feet in altitude.

"Space" doesn't begin until an altitude of 100 nautical miles. This is true for both models.
