Good answer! I believe in the RE theory!!! Your argument was extremely convincing.

Do you actually think it's real?  What took it?

OK fair enough if you believe this but what tells you its fake in your eyes, regardless of the shape of the Earth.

I'm noticing a trend... the FE-ers only seem to post in topics they can either say are fake or the government doctored...

But they just seem to ignore all the other posts...

Another theory is that there are maybe 10 or so people who would argue FE and about 1000 people who wouldn't. Most threads will be ignored due to the recent wave of new members.

So this means that the few of us that did join from finding this on Digg and came here looking for a good smart discussion will be ignored unless we post in a thread that was here a week before we came?

Well, since you are here... perhaps your presence in a few other threads? I've read them...

No, sadly there will be too many threads created for you to be guaranteed a reply.  Unless you want to join the FE side, in which case you will get thousands of replies :)

Yes I will attempt to answer as many as I reasonably can.

You claim the Diameter of the earth is 24,900 mi. The RE model's equator would be 12,450 mi in circumference. This means placing the RE equator on your FE model. This places the circumference of the equator to be 39113 mi.
C=pi*D DEquator = 1/2DEarth
24900/2 = 12450*pi

Now the RE equator is measured to be 24,902 mi in circumference.

Why the discrepancy when sailors, geographers, and pilots alike can come up with the latter number individually?

Yep. No answer. Replies would involve answers. Too bad there isn't one.  8-)
If I was asked to imagine a perfect deity, I would never invent one that suffers from a multiple personality disorder. Christians get points for originality there.
