Okay, so let's line up some simple lines of text that represent your beliefs vs. scientific findings.
You believe that the Earth is flat, and any evidence saying otherwise is either a unique optical illusion that makes no sense at all, or is a conspiracy by the government for the purpose of money. Both of those issues by the way I've killed in previous posts during my short stay at this forum.
Science tends to believe, based on photographic proof, experiements, common sense, and things that you and I and everybody else on the planet can see with their naked eye, that the Earth is a sphere shape and that it revolves around the Sun.
Now this is where you guys are going to not like me. Given the intellectual build of this forum (not impressive) I'm sure none of you are familiar with the "Occam's Razor Theory." That is, all things being equal, the simplest answer is usually the correct one. The simplest answer here of course, is that the world is a sphere. That's the easiest way to explain all the phenomenon associated with that, rather than to say it all happens because of inexplicable optical illusions and farfetched conspiracies.
That said, I cannot believe I'm having this discussion with grown adults in the year 2007. You do believe that it's 2007 right?
