Questions About Flat Earthers

I am doing a paper on Flat Earth believers and their beliefs. The main purpose of this paper will be not to debunk flat Earth theory, but rather to investigate how Flat Earth Theory originated and modern explanations for its existence. While I do not believe the Earth is flat myself, I am not here to troll or admonish anyone for their beliefs. If anyone could answer a few questions, I would be grateful. If you wish, I can censor your usernames to ensure anonymity. Also, it may be some time before I am able to get back to you, but I will do my best depending on how many people respond. I have listed the questions below. Don't worry about response length, and thank you for your time.

1. What do you believe the shape of the Earth is?

2. How would you describe your certainty in this belief?

3. Roughly when did you start holding this belief?

4. Have you experienced disapproval or rejection from family members or friends because of your beliefs?

5. If you could say one thing to everyone who believes the Earth is a globe, what would it be?


On a side note, I was very impressed with the forum's layout and overall setup.

Because the answers to this question concern both the flat earth community and the flat earth belief, and the people who would give these answers are different. If you are asking about the flat earth theory, I can answer that question. However, if you are asking about the history of the community, I am not the right person for that question. Disputeone diverted your question to another area, and when I pointed this out, he corrected it. This had nothing to do with your question; your questions are accurate and appropriate. You don't need to make a correction; in fact, as I stated from the very beginning, such a correction is not appropriate at this point.

As one of the few known flat Earth scientists in the world, I can confidently answer your questions about flat Earth theory as an authority, which aligns with my claims. However, I cannot say that I am in a particularly prominent place in the community hierarchy, and I clearly do not have the authority to speak on its behalf. However, the opinions I express about the founding of the community are personal convictions or guesses, definitely not official views. They cannot be official views in any way. These opinions are not more than a continuation of our familiar habit of producing conspiracy theories.
