Planet Earth from the Moon

I decided to do some extensive and in-depth research (googling )into footage of the earth that has allegedly been taken from the moon.

I was initially looking to see what continent land-masses could be seen when earth is viewed from the moon, when i came across this video, taken by JAXA:

One of the comments by 'Area51WasOurMoon' is: 'NASA get Fucked! This is the moon size view from earth. Earth size from moon will be way bigger. Get FUCKED!' 

Despite Area51WasOurMoon's strong language and also the fact that it was JAXA who took this footage, not NASA, i think he has a valid point.

Thoughts on this anyone?

I'd be glad to look over your math to support your thought that he has a valid point. I seriously doubt that this is anything more than the common mistake about the apparent size of objects. The Moon, for example, is the about the size of the end of your thumb (to the first knuckle) with your arm outstretched. Tom Bishop, however, will often post a picture that he claims to demonstrate otherwise. I suggest that he's being dishonest just as he is with his beach ball claim.

The focal length of lens used in that video is not known, hence no inferences about size can be drawn.
