Flat Earth Debate / Re: Sunlight

you are correct but remember FE believers like to create random phenomena to explain these types of scenarios, yet they call themselves zetetics.

^ it does show curvature

tom, what part of the diagram did you not understand? you seem to be mistaken by how big the earth is

64
also if you zoom in close enough to that sphere it will be so close that it looks flat, sort of like a person standing on earth. the size of earth is so large in comparison to a person that it looks flat, therefore looking outside and seeing a flat plane in no way is evidence for a flat earth.

Flat Earth General / Re: A zetetic observation... of a round earth

funny how every picture taken of the moon in history by any person shows the side facing the sun illuminated, yet hoppy claims the contrary happens frequently. show us just one picture, thats all were asking. Not from google, from you.

hoppy that is a joke. you will never see the moon illuminated on the opposite side away from the sun, you have shown nothing but complete ignorance. if you can show me just one picture of that happening i will be happy to apologize

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: what illuminates the other planets
« on: November 27, 2012, 09:23:06 PM »
there is no reason whatsoever to believe they are self illuminated, also to the other guy who said its the sun, the sun, doesnt even light up the whole earth (assuming FET is correct) even though it hovers over top of it

Flat Earth Q&A / what illuminates the other planets
« on: November 27, 2012, 01:00:14 AM »
certainly if the sun cannot light up the entire earth, it would not be able to illuminate other planets. there are also instances where other planets are only partially illuminated, therefore the other planets are being illuminated by some other light source, what may that be?

hes saying the current shape of the continents has changed since we are able to take photos from space. so why are you using this updated shape of the continents if it is based off of pictures from space

Flat Earth Q&A / My experience in Antarctica
« on: November 25, 2012, 11:13:00 PM »
i was looking through previous antarctica topics but did not find what i was looking for
anyways, i am a microbiologist and had visited antarctica along with my colleagues in 2011 for research purposes. During my 7 days there it was night the entire time, and this supposedly goes on for 6 months (1 day and 1 night a year).
looking at the FE model and maps i cannot see how this can be possible.
so, how is the darkness for those 7 days i was there explained if the world was indeed flat?
