I've been having front end issues with my car lately. I've had a bad vibration which I thought was either a bad wheel bearing or a bad lower ball joint or bad upper control arm. Took it to my friend's shop today, looks like my issue is the brake proportioning valve went bad, as well as the rubber hose lines to the front brakes. This is causing my brakes to engage but not fully release, which is causing the vibration I am feeling because the brakes are constantly engaged and heating up, warping the rotors a bit which makes the wheels vibrate.
The rubber lines are cheap, my issue now is what the price of the valve will end up being, as no local supplier has it and it has to be ordered from my car's manufacturer (if they still make it). Luckily, my friend said it shouldn't be too expensive, as valves on similar cars have generally been less than US$100. I can get the labor done for free.
