They're obviously pretty small.

Obviously. LOL. That completely explains everything.

So now the stars are the sizes of atoms?

Clearly not. They appear much larger than that in the night sky.

No they don't. They look like pinpoints of light.
You can see atoms?  ???

Flat Earth Debate / Re: Musings on "Bendy Light"

But wait a second...

We go into a room, completely dark, completely straight.  We shake it around in circles, to make sure we don't know which way's which.  Normally, we'd use the Earth as a reference point, assuming it's round.  We would never notice bendy light, because we'd say the Earth is round, and relative to the Earth, light travels straight.  Or, from an FE standpoint, relative to the flat Earth, light travels bendy.

But now we're in a room, and we don't even remember which way's which.  We don't use the Earth as a reference point, we use the walls and floor and ceiling of the room (which are straight).

Light doesn't bend.
Naturally REers have to lock themselves in darkened rooms for long periods of time to convince themselves the Earth is round.

You got a problem with my meditation?
None at all, my good fellow, unless you attempt to present your meditation as scientific proof.

Forget the shape of the earth - is that a dolphin in the third picture?

Not surprising that 20,000 spear men were able to kill 1,300 British troops.

Yes, but the Zulus were just savages with shields and spears whereas the British army had horses and firearms. If they hadn't deployed themselves so poorly they could have pwned those noobs.
I don't know. 20:1 isn't great when you've got single shot, manual cartridge release rifles. The canons would have helped but I think they only had 2.

Better tactics on the British side and they might have done more damage but when ya Zerg, firepower isn't everything.
See the battle of Rorke's Drift. The British were outnumbered by at least 20:1 on that occasion and they succeeded in severe pwnage.

Incorrect. Pixels cannot arrange themselves.

Two words. That's all the scientific evidence you need.
Those words refer to a well-documented scientific fact.

Not really. A couple of drawings, very little Math, some lines in the FAQ and the wiki, that's all.

How do you refuel a balloon in mid-air? With another  air transport medium. HOW YOU CAN CONSTANTLY DO THAT WITHOUT BEING NOTICED?
What do you think that NASA is doing with all these supposed "space launches"?

And again, what's the theory behind stratellites being airborne for such a long time that they do exactly the same job as satellites?
A hot-air balloon will stay up for an almost indefinite amount of time if you keep refueling it.

If you flew a plane and by some manner made to to the edge and made it over the ice wall than yes, you would pass over the ice wall.

Sorry it is not more glorious than that?  ???

Thank you!
So, if I want to picture the route on the FE map, where does the plane go after that?

Into the infinite plane that is the earth.

That's an answer!  :) So the earth is an infinite plane!! This was not clear to me...
So what's the meaning of the map I saw in the FAQ, which represents the earth like a disk with a boundary?
Not everyone here believes in an infinite plane model of the earth. However, no-one can be certain about the earth's true extent because no-one has explored the land beyond the ice wall, if indeed any exists.

Why must you lie? Plenty of people have flown around the earth. Lying doesn't make your hypothesis true.
Circumnavigating the Earth =/= crossing the Ice Wall.

Ever tried flying a plane in a straight line for tens of thousands of miles? Good luck.

Flat Earth Debate / Re: The Credibility of FET Science
« on: November 02, 2011, 08:34:56 AM »
Take "bendy light" for example.  It doesn't really matter if light rays actually bend or if bendy light is a product of atmospheric distortion.  For your ideas to be taken seriously, you need to leave the realm of thought and build the math to prove it.  A simple diagram made in MS paint isn't going to prove anything.
Ah, I see you've been reading my posts. It's OK, Brother Nohlekh made a diagram in photoshop which adds much more credibility to the Bendy Moonlight theory.

The US is mostly flat save for a few mountain ranges.
Another win for FE!

Edit: Th0A5andth Poast!!!!1111

It´s flat, if you mean that the medium distance of points on the surface are almost at the same distance to the earth core. Also I´m getting bored of this site
So the Earth is flat even in RET?

Well, that explains the orbits of the sun and moon.
What do you mean. The sun and moon are extremely cold?
Of course they are.

Flat Earth General / Re: Pseudolites

The pseudolite/satelite arguement comes down to line of sight. Low altitude fixed broadcasting stations -vs- satelites.
1 - TV and GPS signals are not light. They go straight.
So do signals from pseudolites.
b. If pseudolites transmit as far as FM radio stations can (100 miles -ish) we still need 18000 of them to cover the states.
That seems a reasonable number.
c. If all these communications are coming in laterally or say within 10 deg of the horizon; Why are satelite dishes pointed at much higher angles?
Pseudolites will be placed at high points. It makes sense. The signal will travel much further than expected because the earth is flat. Also, to receive signals from stratellites.
  d. Why is it that the only time the satelite radio in my car cant get signal is when I am directly under something? never next to anything? I get signal in a canyon, or driving arround in a city, but not under a bridge or in the covered drive through at a bank?
This makes perfect sense with stratellites and pseudolites too. If you are in a canyon, there is quite a large chance that a pseudolite will be transmitting a signal from somewhere past one end of the canyon. If you are under a bridge, since most pseudolites are on high places, you will not receive a signal.

And you've got to forget that sometimes, when you climb on the top of a mountain, you can see up to 200 km.
Why are you posting evidence that the Earth is flat?  ???

Light = EMR
MoonLIGHT, FlashLIGHT, SunLight, Radiowaves, Microwaves all = EMR. No matter where it is in the spectrum its still EMR and it only goes staright. Please provide some citations for how you came to know that moonlight is different form regular EMR. I am curious. please enlighten me.
Ichi's plant experiments, and the fact that moonlight is clearly bendy.

SO Whenever it is convenient for FE EMR bends, and whenever it's convenient for FE EMR goes in a straight line. You cant have it both ways.
If it is convenient it is because it is based on observation. The moon is the only celestial object whose shape appears distorted in the sky. Therefore, it must be only moonlight that bends.
