It proves that FEers doesn't believe that the Earth is flat, but believe that the Earth is not round. Which is VERY different.

Also, if REers could explain these questions but FEers can't, it proves that the RE theory is more valuable, again and again.

Look at other threads too. You'll notice that it's always the same thing : a REer asks a question to FEers. Those people can't answer, so they answer with a question that has no links with the question of the REer. What a proof of depth of knowledge!

syd: We most certainly can!  This is a privately owned website, and anybody (even myself) can be asked (or forced) to leave, regardless of reason.  However, we are not kicking him out, nor are we crying at night because of his posts.  Rather, we are just tired of going through so much bullshit for a little bit of what we want from this site.

If there was less bullshit, this would be a better place.  Just being 'right' isn't good enough for us.  If we wanted the current scientific views, we'd be reading at NASA.  But we don't.  We want intelligent, civil discussion about why things are why they are, how they are why they are, and whether or not there could be any other reasons as to how things are why they are.

For the most part, we don't really care whether you believe what you claim to believe here.  I very often try to come up with ways that an FE system COULD work.  Does that mean I believe it?  Of course not.  It is ALTERNATE science. It is ways that it COULD work.  Not all of them are believable.  There is an element of difference from the modern viewpoint, not that we reutrn to antiquity, but that we think differently from the 'pop' views of our respective cultures.

So, do you know that the earth is round?  Then why are you here?  Who are you trying to convince?

Please, before posting anything, read the recent threads, and read the FAQ, and please, for the love of all that is good about this forum, search your topic before you post it.  Thanks, and peace to everyone.

All that's needed for assault is a feeling of being threatened.
So, technically it's assault.
Then again, how threatened can you feel?  You are in another part of the world from these people who are threatening you, and they are doing so on an internet forum.  On an internet forum dedicated to the idea that the earth is flat.  Don't take it seriously.  Or, take it seriously enough not to be an asshole.  This place wasn't designed so that we could get people like yourself in every day talking about 'omg it's round you stupid fuckers!!'

Guess what? Most of us would agree with you.  But there are 2 advantages to this site:

1. Advocacy training, that is being able to defend a position that you do not normally agree with makes you more tolerant of others.

2. Out of the box thinking.  There are some crazy as frak ideas that get thrown around when this place is in a good time.  Thoughts are provoked, and people are encouraged to do independent research.

When you assholes come in and ruin it, it doesn't make it fun, it just makes you a troll and a tool.  So.  If you don't want to play, fine; but if you do, you play here by the rules, and you play here for the benefit of us, or you don't play here.  Maybe eventually, you will become a contributing member and will enjoy this.  Maybe not.  But honestly, the fact that the mods and other members of this community tolerate you asshats for so long is truly amazing.

Are you encouraging civil, deliberate conversation? No.

If the Earth was flat, then how can we travel west from america to go to places such as australia or japan and vise versia, if your theory was correct we would come to the edge of the world and just fall off, but we dont.

Also, We have satalites which orbit our planet, now if our planet was flat these satalites would plumit to the ground but they dont and this is because of Projectile motion http://library.thinkquest.org/2779/History.html which is explained there,

Now the Satalite stays in orbit due to gravity and doesnt fall due to the sphericle qaulities of the earth and the law of Projectile motion, so the Satalite is said to be in "free fall" this is because it is continously falling .

Also How the Goverment cant be part of some conspiracy theory to hide us from the truth, after all it wasnt the goverment who first came up with the idea that the earth was round.

Another thing If the Earth was flat we could stand on a high mountain and look across the sea and see other countries and all the buildings, but we cant. Because the EARTH ISNT FLAT
