Though if it were actually there you think that someone would have noticed seeing two suns in the sky at some point.

I can tell you how high I am.

If it were high enough... we would see the earths reflection in all of its roundness.

It only reflects certian things. It does not work like a conventional mirror.

Just like this magical force of gravity.

No, because gravity is conventional. It works the same everywhere. Mirrors are also the same everywhere except for the magic flying sky one.

And I said this is not a conventional mirror.

So....as I said. A "magic" one.

What makes you assume its magic?

Since there are sensors/objects that can sense/reflect/absorb different forms of EM emissions, maybe this mirror reflects gravitational waves towards us and pushes us to the surface of the earth.

It would have to be made of some pretty exotic material, besides the fact that the graviton has yet to be discovered.

Made from exotic material hardly makes it magic.

was the closet that goes to Narnia made of exotic material? no but it was magic.

That is irrelevant as the closet is not real. Sky mirrors might be. If the closet was real how would you know what it is made of? I have to assume you have taken samples of it.

Perhaps not, but you are hypothesizing an object that is wildly out of keeping with observation, therefore highly unlikely.

The sky mirror was Robosteve's idea. It was part of his elite trolling armoury that I believe also included fish powered boats.

Since he no longer comes here we can wave sky mirrors good day and good bye.

Just because Robosteve is not around makes sky mirrors no longer exsist?

I was under the impression that Parsifal is Robosteve.  If I am mistaken then I apologize to both.

if there was a mirror in the sky then when you see the moon you are really seeing the earth so there is proof that the earth is round

As always, somebody will ask for a model, a diagram or anything even close to a scientific argument for the Sky mirror and the rest of the thread will be angry ranting on how we are idiots who cannot accept this wonderful idea. Then somebody will try to explain how the scientific method is the minimum one can ask for in a scientific discussion and all hell will break loose.

There has never been a single diagram to help us see that this idea is even half baked. We should not ask again and accept that the answer is: "if the diagram does not fit (or does not even exist), the idea is bogus".
