Round or Flat...

Ok, from now on I shall not being from the point of view of RE'er, I will be simply asking questions about what each theory does not seem to suggest to me.

First question. Does the moon have rocks and dust on it's surface? If so, why would they not have fallen by now? FAQ says that the moon has a slight gravitational field. What would exempt the earth from that?

As I argued in my moon craters thread, it seems quite apparent that the moon is a sphere of some sort. In light of this, I ask what shape is the atmosphere? If it is rounded, what would make is so? If the athmosphere is rounded, could the other side of the earth not also be rounded with us living on a flattened middle (an eliptical/oval shape if you like). Like a cirle with a fat middle, strethced.

Also, what would stop earth's atmosphere being blown, in a sense, if it had no gravity in which to hold it? A magnetic field could not hold.

Thanks for some sort of clerification

Can no one explain this then?

Only if it is bound good enough to the underside of the moon.

FAQ says that the moon has a slight gravitational field.

Being in a gravitational field is equivalent to being in an accelerating reference frame. Acceleration warps space time. It is the mechanism for the "gravitation" you know and love.

See: General Relativity, Special Relativity, and the Equivalence Principle.

It's not. Ever hear of the Cavendish experiment?

Then could the FAQ be ammended then?

But how does the atmosphere not blow off? What would bound it to the earth?

Then how does a star explode? die?

Cheers

Some of us believe in a quite a bit higher ice wall, that keeps the atmosphere in. Others believe that instead, the "atmosphere" is also part of the conspiracy, and that you can still breathe in space.

FE doesn't say anything contrary to a start dying. It can jsut die the same way as other theories.

BREATHE IN SPACE?!? *LOL* So when you climb a high mountain the air gets thinner and thinner, man! So take a guess how thin it is in space...

This taller ice wall idea is impossible.  It would not hold in the atmosphere over a long period of time because of the infinite decay of a density gradient (the atmosphere).  So it must be a dome, or the other one you suggested.

But if there is no gravity to hold it from the bottom, would just it from being blown away in a sense?
