No, it is not dying. Never happens.
Currently, the world is witnessing a complex and multifaceted struggle. People with different ideologies whether globalists, those concerned with climate change, Existentialists, simulationists, continuityists, deterministics, singularitarians, non-singularitarians atheists, or theists are all deeply involved in intense debates and conflicts across various platforms. Israel has occupied Palestine, and Russia has occupied Ukraine. As U.S. policy undergoes a fundamental shift, redirecting its focus from Russia to China, the world is undergoing a deep geopolitical transformation. This transformation is affecting philosophy, and the course of philosophical debates is influencing the direction of the world. Everything is developing rapidly, and almost everyone involved in philosophical discussions feels compelled to engage in these debates and conflicts. Those who have spent years advocating for the flat earth theory now find themselves in even more challenging struggles within these larger debates. Surprisingly, the flat earth idea has remained more peaceful in comparison to most of these other movements.
When time comes, they will return. When the battles on these fronts subside, everyone will eventually find their way back home.
And, of course, some will return after exploring new perspectives from the edge, haha.
