A unify model of Flat Earth
« on: August 19, 2024, 04:04:16 PM »
Right now, the mainstream science consider the Earth as a sphere with a mean radius of 6371km. The moon (with a mean radius of 1737km) is going around the Earth in an elliptical orbit with a semi-major axis of 384399km. The Sun is a sphere of plasma with a mean radius of 696340 km, and the Earth is going around the Sun in an elliptical orbit with a semi-major axis of 1.496×10^8km. This is the globe Earth model If we use these numbers to predict what will happen in future, we will get an result that is not far away from what will actually happen.

Let's not talk about if the numbers are real, but focus on a more general question: What is a Flat Earth model?

By this I mean how will the world look like under a flat Earth situation, how does the Sun and Moon moves through space? How does day and night work? What is the specific parameter for the movement (radius of orbit etc.)? How far is the Sun and Moon away from Earth (in numerical numbers)? How can we make prediction with the flat Earth model?

Just because you see the Earth looks like a flat plane, doesn't make it actually a flat plane, there needs to be a working model that describes all the phenomenon that is happening right now, globe Earth certainly offers one, but I don't see that flat Earth is able to offer one.
You are currently talking to the only person in the world who can make you immortal if you give him enough financial resources.
The ability to speak does not make you intelligent.

The fact that no one is able to answer this question for more than a week means that FE does not have a complete model to start with, making it not a science but a scam.

It's not a scam. It just isn't what the flat earthers themselves think it is.

It's the zetetic viewpoint on life, literally ignoring the actual true shape of the earth and heliocentric model in general.

These flat earthers spend all their time arguing the earth is not a globe, that they have no time for anything else. If they could accept earth is actually a globe and they willingly choose to ignore that fact and all it's trappings, in favor of focussing on the immediate life concerns around them, in the small flattish earth around them, they would be better off. (Jack Black would be better off too. He could return to being what he loves most -  being an elderly male pornstar)

The flat earth society one day will become the "My flat Earth Society", to accurately reflect flat earth is subjective reality not objective reality.

Flat earthers cannot come out with claiming exact numbers nor a unified  official flat earth map.  It would give something easily debunked.  Then the FE conspiracy industry would be out of business, and Mark Sargent would lose his cash cow, not have speaking engagements, and wouldn’t be a celebrity to some people. At least Taylor Swift is somewhat easy on the eyes and has a decent singing voice and writing ability.

Only if Sargent was successful at Karaoke, things might be different?

The way FE youtubers and the like go about it, it is a scam.
A scam that directly contradicts the zetetic viewpoint on life.
The simplest example, I watch the sun set going below me.
Yet FE says it remains above and magic makes it appear below.

Jack Black would be better off too. He could return to being what he loves most -  being an elderly male pornstar
Is that your subtle way of saying you would love to see me in porn?

The flat earth society one day will become the "My flat Earth Society", to accurately reflect flat earth is subjective reality not objective reality.
Or how about the "Flat Earth Fantasy Society" to accurately reflect that it is a fantasy, not reality.

No, it's my subtle way of saying your only "stiff" competition would be 71 year old Ron Jeremy, aka the hedgehog. Also, that hiding behind your prim and proper demeanor is an over the hill pervert preying on nubile blondes and brunettes, a quarter of your age.

Scam is dependent on your viewpoint. If time is a commodity which you can lose and never get back, then yes, it is a scam. If time is money also, then yes it's a scam. If direct loss of money defines a scam, then no, it isn't. People are allowed to spend their time however way they want.

Flat earth fantasy society doesn't retain the esteem and is too obvious. How about, the "Flat Ground Society" or "The Flat Horizon Society" to reflect they are not interested in anything beyond the horizon they can see? Maybe, "The Level Earth Society". "The God's Flat Earth Society", to reflect the bible roots. "The I See flat Earth Society" could also work.

All improvements on the current abominable name.

These suggestions might unify the current flat earth into a workable model.

So you are saying you really love porn with old men and want to see me in porn with old men?

You don't always need to give something directly to them to be a scam.
Being dishonest and profiting from it, such as ad revenue and dishonestly getting people to share it and promote it could be considered a scam.

Flat earth fantasy society doesn't retain the esteem and is too obvious.
The point is being honest.

That's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is if flat earthers were to evolve and accept the earth is objectively a globe, you could return to doing whatever the fuck you were doing 15 years ago, before you made it a crusade to address every flat earther comment made on this forum.
