About Camel And Needle
« on: December 23, 2023, 12:39:31 PM »
I can confirm that what Jesus said is true! I'm a living proof of this! And my physical appearance also shows this. I'm probably the poorest person ever, and probably the most non-religious guy ever! But while all the rich are worshipping money and religious af are suffering in Hell, I'm in Heaven! How do you explain that! And once you are in Heaven, you are in Heaven forever! Which means I am Immortal!

It's "rope"! The word is "rope"!

Just as Simon where they talk about Simor "leper" is actually a "jarmaker". This is why he is in a nice house, and the lady inside is sharing an expensive perfume bottled in a JAR with Jesus, and why Jesus at no point tries to heal this man.

This has to do with a persistent mistranslation. And in fact, it could have arisen from three sources. First, contrary to popular belief, the New Testament was probably not written down originally in Greek. The people who wrote it were Jews. Yes their audience was also Greeks, but at some people, you may be handing text over to translators.
1. Hebrew to Greek problem. Hebrew (and Aramaic) have pretty poor expression of vowel sounds, often requiring that the reader be part of a long line of oral tradition. This is great for Hebrew to Hebrew, but Hebrew to Greek? They may have studied Hebrew to talk to the Jews, but handed a passage, they might guess leper when it means jarmaker.
2. Greek miswriting problem. In Greek, there is only a single letter difference between camel and rope. It's almost like the word is intended to be miswriten, as a sloppy stroke of the pen can make it a completely different word. If I'm tired or whatever while writing, it's possible to write the wrong letter. Hell, on a keyboard was and wad are both words so it won't even spellcheck.
3. This is why I say it's almost conspiring to be mistranslated. They even read similar in English!

Quote
A few, mostly late, witnesses (579 1424 al arm Cyr) read κάμιλον (kamilon, “rope”) for κάμηλον (kamēlon, “camel”), either through accidental misreading of the text or intentionally so as to soften Jesus’ words.

Accidental misreading? No, you're doubling down on an error you made.

Ropes cannot fit inside needles. Camels do not fit inside needles.

I think I have this footnoted in my Bible, I probably ought to just change the text and explain why.

Also, are you ok? You sound manic.

Whatever. I'm guessing you are into Prosperity Gospel. Which has been destroying America from within for decades! How do you feel about that?

Actually, what has destroyed America for decades is the poverty gospel of the woke SJWs.

"I don't have enough to eat, so I'm gonna steal from you." When you operate on zero sum game, everyone loses. When everyone steals, the money is nowhere to be seen.

For the record, no I am not. But Jesus taught rather than measuring your life by fancy cars or six figure salary, there is enough loaves and fish that 5000 people can have baskets of leftovers. No, this isn't a magic trick. The people in attendance had enough, they were just all hoarding because they thought "Why should I share to feed others? There won't be enough for me." But there was, and more to spare. God has given you your daily bread.

Thou shalt not commit logical fallacies! You can never understand Love by using logic!

A real Christian Soul would understand this. You can only understand if you are in Heaven (saved)

And those SJWs exist because of greed, paganism, and insanity of a decaying empire!

That's why the only way to save the West and spread Christianity is to go back to our roots and let the Spanish and the British rule the waves again!

God Save The King! (Well... not this one but you know what I mean)

On the contrary.

Quote
“You are a king, then!” said Pilate. Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”

And then Pilate asks what truth even is.

Quote
Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”

Quote
Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

This man believed in truth, yet had such love that he even wanted to forgive his torturers who were sending him to die. Logic springs from truth. And perfect love comes from being able to move past banal irrationality, and see the world as something more.

No, the SJWs are actually puppets. They are children that are taught "wouldn't it be nice if..." and let their visions of utopia lead them to violent action. The people leading them, on the other hand are very old Marxists, who never bothered to study Asia or Africa.

Africa only had one real empire, and that was Egypt, through its connection with Greece and the Middle East. It hasn't really recovered since its classical period. Much of the rest of Africa is still in slavery, yet the left has the utter gall to condemn the West while glorifying black history. Yeah, uhhh the black Africans didn't even know anything about their history until white professors came along and encouraged them to come up with one. And nothing about their history (again besides Egypt) is anything but one long lesson in half-assed architecture and agriculture (they mostly just planted bananas and tubers, and then sat back and were set for life). Despite having enormous resources, these went unused until the West noticed them. Did the West exploit their resources? Damned right they did! But someone who was there for centuries never did anything, built anything, or learned anything.
Asia had a civilization, but it was heartless. Despite technological advances, their society was based on conscripting large amounts of people as courtesans. Their primary religions were things like Confucianism (which was about knowing your place in society, and it is viewed as moral and ethical to place the lives of nobility above common people and treat them like dirt) and Buddhism (despite all its veneer of enlightenment, Buddhism never actually solved a basic problem of how to ease suffering for others, instead saying to the hungry "suffering is an illusion, you need to meditate and then you will be enlightened" whie they are quite literally dressed in brown rags) and Hinduism (what Buddhism was a step up from, a literal caste system, where the bottom caste are basically slaves that shovel shit while the priests are that way by birth and not because of economics). Asia invented a number of advances yes, but never delved into anything outside of control hierarchy. Love your neighbor as yourself? Nuh. If your neighbor is a mere commoner and you are a state official, you have the right to stomp on your neighbor's face, and rather than the law taking the approach that this is wicked behavior, anyone who tried to put a stop to this would be seen as immoral.

Those old Marxists want a world like these places, where slavery and violence are commonplace.
Christianity? It brought the West from not only one of the leaders in tech, but unlike Asia, a society where people care for each other. Western society freed people from slavery, and is willing to support millions of immigrants who do not share its values of charity. Asia is a leader in sex trafficking, and the same Marxists who would distort the natural desire to help people thrive, have claimed it's ethical to help those in other countries. Yes,it is. But illegal immigration creates a human trafficking, and reduces Asian women from ones with the chance to have happy an successful lives to... well this (Hispanic, not Asian, but same deal).

If this empire is "decaying" as you put it, it is because it has been corrupted from the highest levels identical to the way that Ra's al Ghul did it in Batman Begins. The West was an empire built toward progress and charity. This made it great. Instead, people who never donated a dime, who actively work to spread charity, try to convince the West that it is terrible and that it needs share its wealth with the rest of the world to make up for colonialism or less than five centuries of slavery. If the West is so terrible, why are they considering it? As I speak, some white woman somewhere is feeling so guilty that she donated up to $1000 to Heifer. People in Asia or Africa would never do the same. In fact, I happen to know this.

Where are the slave reparations for white women who were part of Muslim harems?

On the contrary? Nothing that you said contradicts what I said!

Yes Logic springs from Truth. Not the other way round! And the Truth is Love (God of the Bible) Perfect Love comes from God. God is the source of irrationality! That's why people still to this day are trying to make sense out of the Bible! Which is futile!

And for everything else you said you are preaching to the choir!

This is my favourite version. Because of no bullshit, simple, and clear voice and speech. And the Violin! Opera has it's place but I sometimes can't stand it!

So just redistribution of resources, then?  How socialist.

If Jesus had given the fish and bread to the greediest and fattest people first, so the crumbs would "trickle down" to magically feed the hungriest, that would have been a real miracle.

That's the wonderful definition of how socialists think capitalism works. In reality, the reason why "trickle down" never works is that government captures it a number of times as income tax.
Why is income tax so high? Because socialists want the rich to be punished.

 "You feed them," Jesus said.
