WerePenguin: North Pole Incursion GAME THREAD

LOCATION: North Pole Village

The day had finally come.  The 15 members of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) had arrived in the North Pole Village.  As they gathered in the village circle, a commotion moved toward them.  A group of elven villagers dragged a bound elf passed them and into the Great Hall of Christmas.  The 15 ERT members followed in curiosity.  The evles dragged the elf before Santa.  Santa looked in slight confusion at the situation and said, "What is going on here?" 

The elven security team explained, "Sir, we have found one of the saboteurs.  We caught him burning the Great Flat Earth Map.  Sadly, Sir, the map was destroyed.  We await your orders."

Santa with great disappointment looked at the Saboteur.  "I would have never expected you, BabyHighSpeed, to betray me."

BHS spit at Santa and shouted, "You foolish old man.  You were so easy to deceive.  So much so, that even now after being caught and with my likely death, our plans are still progressing forward."

Santa with anger in his voice looked at his security team, "Take him away and CandyCane him."

The security team quickly gagged BHS, and dragged him to the front doors of the hall, where the elven villagers gathered in a line.  As the security team walked to the village center with BHS in tow, villagers one by one pulled out a candy cane sharpened to a point and stabbed BHS.  BHS's lifeless body slumped to the ground covered in candy canes.  A saboteur was dead.  Villagers quickly dispersed back to work.  The security team quickly worked to dispose of the body.

Santa walked up to the 15 members of the ERT and with a Jolly voice, "Ho, Ho, Ho.  Welcome and make yourself home.  I didn't expect you so early.   Sorry about that little scene, it's how we take care of the bad apples.  You are free to explore the village, well some of it.  There is a Tavern, the Great Hall, and the Workshops.  Stay out of the elven homes, they like to keep a private life after work.  You will be staying on the 2nd floor of the Great Hall, there are rooms for each of you.  Work Tasks will be available tomorrow.  Until then.  Ho, Ho, Ho."

Alexei, a penguin, had his heart crushed and ripped out by SCG.

NIGHT 7
Space Cowgirl, an innocent villager, disemboweled and put on display as the Christmas Angel Tree Topping by a Penguin.

DAY 8 - FINAL DAY
Colonel Gaydafi voted to lynch Unicorn Peptide Cake
Unicorn Peptide Cake, an innocent villager, was lynched.
Junker, an innocent villager, was killed by Colonel Gaydafi, the final penguin, ending the game.

Hey! Hey! Santa! Will murdering a guy put me on the naughty list, or do we get a little slaughter allowance?

There was evil in the world, so much it hardly needed saying, especially in Jura's world, but this, fucking with Santa and his elves? This was next level and a lot of the old families thought so too and they had gathered, new faces too, and this would take some sorting.
Time to wipe the slate clean, forget the last time, each mission needed fresh perspective, let's get this done, Christmas is coming.

Okay, so do we want to kill Boydster immediately, or give him false hope for a day or two? 

There's murder in the air here. I can sense it. In my heart, my soul, my very loins. This Christmas, everything is on the line. Every Who in Whoville needs us to succeed. Every child on this beautiful, green, flat Earth is depending on our team to deliver. Not only that, but by now, every parent that has overspent for a chimney sweeper to make sure their chimney was clear before the big guy hopefully shows up for the main event is one disappointment away from going postal.

Also, I might have missed it in the first post but I don't think so, what is our cycle-change time and timezone? Is the the 0:00 UTC/7pm EST, and we're all just a couple hours ahead of dawn on the first day for some quick meet-and-greet drinks?

I'd like to check out the workshops, so I'll head that way.

Yes Day Change is 0:00UTC/7PM EST  I'll working to get a countdown timer that works within the forums like wise did last game.

I'm not familiar with the one he uses, but we've used sendtric.com a bunch in the past

So are these elves the 'mystically in tune with nature, immortal, will fight evil with swords and bows and arrows and magic' variety, or the 'mostly useless, will occasionally have a musical number' variety? One would be significantly more useful than the other right now.
I'm going to assume the former and am going to draw a magic circle in the snow. I found this book on Summoning Santa that feels like exactly what we need. Unrelated, I am a little dyslexic. Sure that won't be a problem.

Burning the flat earth map is not acceptable. Wise slammed his fist on the table, said, "This organized evil must be stopped".

To find a way to end this evil, Wise took some green weed from his bag, rolled it into a cigarette and lit it. This difficult situation was one that required asking the holy spirits and getting answers. Green weed was always been the cure.

Wise checked that no one under the age of 16 was around and tried to contact the spirits by lighting a cigarette with green grass. He took another breath then Bom Tishop's evil spirit tried to disturb him. He has incense lit. When he took his second breath, this time JimmyTheLobster tried to contact him. He lit a second incense and waited. Now the spirits contacted him and began to tell something about the boydster. Wise is now trying to understand what these undead are saying to him.

Jura had the shivers and a headache, she suspected a biological attack from the penguin contingent, a diet of paracetamol, whisky and black coffee should do it. In the meantime she would sit at the back and watch.

I heqd towards the bar as well, making snowballs on the way.  Eveytime an elf is put on a shelf I try to hit them with a snowball. unfortunately I pregamed to many shots of whiskey and kept hitting the others by accident.  Sorry boydster and jura, my "hic" aim is shit.

Alright, I bundled a few more elves on the shelf. Juding by the looks on their elf faces, I dont think they'll be making any presents for my kids anymore so make the next shot count okay?

It either Werepenguins disrupting communication with the outside world or Santa engaging a distortion field to keep everyone trapped here in the hopes we snuff out the werepeguin threat.

I think it's contained, but I did need to sacrifice one of the shelf-elves, and raid the workshop for some goth kid's presents.

I know Mundin has already said he's going to vote to murder on day 1. I've said it before and I'll continue to maintain, I think that's our best move. And just to get it out of the way, no I'm not a werepenguin this time and no I don't want to be murderized immediately BUT I know I'm on the good guy team and I also don't have the Superpower Of Great Importance™ so... I volunteer as tribute. Before Santa takes this whole place down again, please allow me to rise to the ethereal plane and provide a means for us to seek his guidance in eliminating this penguiny menace to Christmas.

If anyone else tries to self-immolate me, we're gonna have problems. That's a very personal thing. You're gonna have to use a different method.

This is either a double-bluff that could put a penguin above suspicion, or a non-psychic ghost leader.
I think getting a ghost we can trust asap is a good plan because that way the chosen one/medic, if they exist, can keep the psychic safe. And if boydster's bluffing, we kill a feathery [mean word].

Are you sure that's what you want? I mean, we need more kindling for the fire place but it seems like an awful way to go
