I don't believe that NASA is hiding anything, or that anyone has been tricked. What I'm almost certain of is that our planet looks like a circle, and that everyone has been seeing it wrong.
Which sure sounds like you are saying they have all been tricked.
The issue is there are plenty of pictures from Earth, from lots of different angles, showing different portions of Earth.
And they all show a roughly circular outline.
That requires Earth to be roughly a sphere.
Here's more evidence for the coin earth.
The Sun illuminates exactly half of Earth, that being day and night.
You mean more evidence against it?
The sun illuminates just over half of Earth.
But importantly, you can't separate it as all of region A is illuminated from 6 AM to 6 PM UTC, and then the rest of Earth, region B is illuminated from 6 PM to 6 AM UTC.
Instead, the portion that is illuminated changes continually throughout the day, and changes between seasons. This results in many time zones around Earth, and the time of sun rise and sunset depending on your location quite a lot, and in a gradual manner.
This makes sense for a roughly spherical Earth, where as it rotates, the half that is towards the sun (up to 90 degrees away from the sub-solar point) will be illuminated.
But for a disc, it should be whichever side is pointing within 90 degrees of the sun should be illuminated, with it rapidly switching with that entire side going dark as the entire other side becomes light.
So this rules out the idea of a coin Earth.
Shine a torch onto a ball. Does exactly half the ball light up?
This depends. How large is your ball vs torch? How far away is it?
The amount that lights up depends on both those factors.
Replace the torch with a computer screen, and use a ball smaller than it.
See how much it can light up.
The sun is significantly larger than Earth, and very far away, so a small torch up close to a ball is not comparable.
My facebook group will be hearing about this, you 'spherical earthers' are all the same.. Screw science and listen to THE PEOPLE.
Considering you have already admitted that people are lying, and trying to con others, and that lots of people are gullible, why should I listen to the people?
Why shouldn't I instead try to obtain evidence?
I'll stick to science, rather than faith.
