Could this be the end of Boris Johnson just for really liking to party?

He's a self obsessed, entitled wanker, indicative of how the media led morons are gulled into believing that a bunch of privately educated stuffed shirts bloated on Foie gras and insider dealings have even a passing interest in what is right for anyone in this country other than those of their ilk.

Quote
LONDON — Prime Minister Boris Johnson survived a dramatic vote of no confidence on Monday, fending off a mutiny that nevertheless leaves him reeling and presages a volatile period in British politics, as he fights to stay in power and lead a divided Conservative Party.

The vote, 211 to 148, fell short of the majority of Tory lawmakers needed to oust Mr. Johnson. But it laid bare how badly his support has eroded since last year, when a scandal erupted over revelations that he and his senior aides threw parties at 10 Downing Street that violated the government’s lockdown rules. More than 40 percent of Conservative lawmakers voted against him in an unexpectedly large rebellion.

He will party on.

And for being absolufuckinglutely useless.  You missed that part out.

It's more about the continuous lies about the parties-not parties (and everything else), rather than the parties themselves.

And lastly, if he wasn't now looking like an election liability there wouldn't be any rebellion by his own party.  Many of his party voting against him are in marginal seats and worried about losing them in 2 years at the next election.

As someone who supports Labour, I  hope he manages to hang in, because things won't get better for him - he'll just get more unpopular.  To be honest, I'm not sure who they will replace him with, this government is already the D-team.  ::)

A nice graph of Boris Johnson's popularity, courtesy of the BBC:

So basically he was at his most popular when in hospital, and people thought he might die, only to have that popularity plummet upon realising he'd survive.

Sounds right to me.

Looks like he got a mild boost in popularity after Russia invaded Ukraine. I guess he's happy about that

That was pretty interesting.

I've never listened to LBC.  What's it like as a news source, and does it have much of a bias?

It’s pretty broad, I like O’Brian for stuff like that and broadly agree with his position on most things, but LBC also has Nick Ferrari who is a right winger who I don’t like, I tend to watch it on youtube when the headline catches my attention.

Plus years of giving a Farage a place to rant his bullshit, of course.

Thanks a bunch for that, LBC.

At this point, the best we can hope for is Larry, the cat.

My guess would be Raab or Truss.

But Boris was trying to hard to capalise on the Ukraine invasion, pleased with the miniscule bump in his approval the more retarded Putin became....

Now it seems it was all for naught. Perhaps he should have led with some dignity, decorum and honour. Maybe spend 5 minutes in the morning on personal grooming like having neat hair would have been better.

When is the next UK election so we can see all these losers dumped? It felt so good in Australia watching our bastards get fired - you guys should feel that glee as well

Ever the one to never let reality tarnish his fantasy, a man whose headmaster is on record as saying, “Boris doesn’t think rules apply to him.” He is desperately hanging on as those that can jump ship, he is running out of ministers to cram into the rapidly growing number of vacant slots.

Currently an umbrella stand is interim minister for transport, and the Teletubbies are on standby for culture. Meanwhile the pound is trading at twelve bottle tops and his hairdresser has just resigned.

Those who had welded themselves to the Boris bandwagon are, with rictus smiles, and presumably a similar lack of problem telling bare-faced lies, declaring everything is fine it’s down to media bias.

This is what happens when you outsource your childcare to posh schools and nannies paid to affirm that leadership is based on daddies’ bank accounts, offshores and school tie.

Its a rout!  Carnage in the cabinet.

Only a matter of time now, but who will Tory party choose to  replace him?

Who will position themselves as most mental on Europe? Who will be first to propose bringing in the navy to sort it out?

He probably secretly love a coup to stay in power forever, but has neither the supporters nor the stones for it.

Yes, he won't, he's sure in his mind that he can make this go away if he says sorry, and he says sorry like a kid forced by his parents, and in saying it he believes the slate is wiped clean for him to carry on lying, as he has consistently done since he appeared. The man is a moral vacuum.

But 14 ministers resigning in a single day is a record, 38 ministers and aides in total, so watch this space.

Edit; 41 now and he sacked Gove, probably a move to make him seem human, or just for kicks, who wouldn't sack Gove, I can imagine the only reason to give him a job is so you can then sack him, just to see that blubbery face drop, and then say, kidding, yeah, no you're sacked.

I am looking at all of this and wondering... just how corrupt is the United States?  Trump wouldn't bat an eye at this sort of thing.

Also, your government is way more fun to watch than ours.

Note: there are 122 ministers i. Government.
This means we're getting close to half the leadership in government resigning within a week.
Not even Trump had that happen.
