Pop Quiz hotshot, your dad has 12 months to live. What do you know?

So I reserve the right to delete this if it embarasses th ehll out of me.  I'm a little ontoxicated.

I found out a few month ago that he my dad ahs termainal prostat ecancer. 

Check this out this is kind of funny. At one point they throught it was a stroke.  So they gave him.. wait for it.. the Exactly test they gave president trump that he bragged about.

Trump bragged about passing a test makes made to see if your brains are scrabled.

So vi visited him todya.  He leave me his last wish.  No funeral, No burla, none of that shit.  Nothing that cotsmoney.  I ask if he wants me to sprinkle the asjhses with mom's grave.  he says "whatever, i recan't realy stop you at hat point'.

So 12 months.  I plan t visit every month.  Everything is a new phase in watching the cancer eat him alive.  My brother ad sister noce tht  because they live with him every day.  It hits me every time I see him

You'd think the worst part owuld be my dad dying.  That's not the worst part.  he worst part is that I have to figure out wha th ehll I'm going to do with my loser brother and sister who can't support themselves.

Man fuck my life!

Just spend time with him.  Don't worry about your siblings so much right now. 
Trust me, I lost my dad just a little over a year ago, try not to entangle your feelings about your siblings up with what you feel about losing him.  You guys will need each other.  Also as the day approaches you don't want your father to see the tension between you.

You should probably start by stop letting Trump live in your head.  Unless you are related to him, he has nothing to do with your dad's cancer diagnosis.

Spending time with your dad will be the best thing.

As for your brother and sister, while you are spending some time with your dad, ask him.  The conversation may be hard, but you aren't going to get better advice from anyone else.

I can't even imagine what you are going through, Crouton. So sorry to hear this. I hope you and your dad get a chance to enjoy each other's company and create some great memories during the time he has left.

While I don't deny that Trump lives rent free in my head the situation was just funny to me in the moment.  My father, brother and sister are all Trump supporters, at least I think they are.  I don't bring it up with them because I'm not an idiot.

But when the neurologist was giving that test all I could think of was "person, woman, man, camera tv" and I couldn't say anything!

That would have been a little awkward since my dad was an anti semite.  Great guy unless you were a, well, you know.

He hung in there for 10 months.  We made the most of it.  The last movie he watched was Fiddler on The Roof.  I'd like to believe it was a tacit apology for his antisemtism.

We're fortunate, in a way.  Not a lot of people get such advanced warnings of someone's impending death.
