I think I found out the answer to all our problems

This may require money, and lots of it. But listen up, friends.

As it has been stated, the Russian (or was it Chinese?) Space Program is offering people to fly into space for a pretty penny. If you FEers raised enough cash, you can send one of your trusted members (Tom Bishop or someone else) into space. I doubt the Russians would give out many contracts due to language differences, if they give any at all. We could have other FEers observe the launch to see if the shuttle actually does launch and it's not all some lie.

So, I think this would effectively solve the dispute.

It would, but that would take an open-minded FE'er to opt to do it, and so far.. I don't think we have any. Or if we did, would they tell the truth?

it's not practicle though. most people on this forum i would assume are middle class and only multi millionaires would be able to afford such a venture.

It would just be a waste of time and money. I already know that it's flat.

What good would looking out at a flat earth do?

Double QFT'd
It's quite remarkable really that both Israel and Palestine have no qualms about slaughtering the crap out of each other - but they are perfectly willing to work together jovially and hide a secret that wouldn't make much difference to the world. -rdethgy

Here is why it's awesome:

1. Bragging rights. Go around and say "I flew into fucking space, what did you do?"
2. Don't you understand how awesome the ride would be?
3. It's a once in a lifetime experience.
4. Proof that satellites, NASA, the government, RE Antarctica, and 9/11 aren't all government conspiracies.

I'd go.

Of course, I might just hijack the rocket and never come back. Either that or I would fall out of the sky, as it is not actually possible to get into space.

How do you know the Earth is flat?  I understand that you BELIEVE the Earth is flat, but how do you KNOW the Earth is flat?

BTW, belief is not a part of science.  Belief is a part of religion.  So, when you believe in the FE model, you belong to a religion/cult, not a scientific theory.  At best, the FE model is really an untested hypothesis.  It is untested because if you actually tested it, it would fail.

When I need to USE the the RE model to explain something, then I USE the model.  I do not believe in it.  The problem is the FE model has no USE.  It cannot explain tides, the atmosphere, the magnetic field, the cycle of the Sun, moon, planets, stars, or anything else.  Not only can it not explain them, it cannot PREDICT anything.

If this is incorrect, then please answer the question posed here http://theflatearthsociety.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9025&highlight=

I'm with you 100% on each of these statements, buddy.

Except this:
The Earth might not really be round.

I've seen it myself.

Sure it is. I also believe in combustion, molecules, and underwater life.

The Flat Earth Society is not a religion.

Most major scientific theories are dogmatic in nature.

I just tested the Flat Earth Theory today, actually.

Quote

My tests came back in favor of a flat earth.

Really? You don't believe in the round earth?

The Flat Earth explains the mechanism for Gravity, something RE does not.

The Flat Earth model explains and predicts phenomenons just fine.

What is the UA?
What causes the UA to exist?

See, thats the same as gravity:

What is gravity?
What causes gravity to exist?

The Earth is in motion because of the Big Bang. It is accelerating because the Big Bang is still happening.

In fact, the entire universe is accelerating. See:

So is this to say that it's possible that there is space below the earth?

Yes. There are probably stars we cannot see, located beneath the earth.

But it's been stated that the UA may be matter or a force underneath the earth, so if that's the case, then space cannot be behind the earth, only the mechanism for UA.

The Earth is in motion because of the angular momentum of the dust from which it was made.  The big bang happened once and only once.  The universe is not accelerating.  Rather, the rate of the universe's expansion is accelrating.  These are two very different statements.
