I have been saying for a week that the British base is being used by Israeli aircraft.
Keith Starmer's decision to allow US aircraft to use British bases is essentially just making the de facto situation official.
The British base in Cyprus is being used by Israeli aircraft. Until now, the British have not acknowledged that the base is being used by anyone other than their own aircraft. Now, by changing their rhetoric, they will say that these bases are being used by the US.
X: But there are also Israeli aircraft at the base.
Y: Oh, really? We made the base available for American use. So that means they have allowed Israeli aircraft to be stationed there. We had no idea, oh, that's not a problem.
