Quite the action-packed 2023. The question really is what does he think won't happen. Seems that would be a shorter list.

The first one? Who can say.... It might happen, it might not. If the price of oil rises, it'll be supply and demand and there is more demand now that China has abandoned its 'zero covid' policy

The UK going back to the EU? There is enough sentiment there that if put to another vote it could very well swing that way. Whether that happens next year is another thing

After that he just went completely off the rails and into batshit insane territory

Oil price will rise to $150 a barrel, and gas price will top $5.000 per 1.000 cubic meters

1 cubic meter = 264 gallons.
$5/264

So gas will be $0.02/gallon.
Seems unlikely.
Gone.

Yeah I'm not sure why he used cubic metres as no one who uses it to fill up their car would even think of it for obvious reasons but I gathered he wanted to say people would see $5 at the bowser instead of the current ~$3

That’s quite a list of mad bollocks.

My prediction is that a lot more Ukrainians and Russians will die in a horrific war that does no good for either side but is entirely the fault of one.

With the covid problem in China and the foxconn problems that came from it, that may be a bad prediction.

So 400 or so mobilized Russian soldiers were housed in a building along with ammunition storage and vehicles.

I’ve see varying numbers but it was a stupid idea to house soldiers next to an ammunition depot.

The amount dead will be worthless if Russia does conscript around 500,000 more.

The Russians are saying it was unauthorized mobile phone usage that gave the position away.
Death toll according to the Russians is 89,  According to the Ukrainians it's 400+ 300 wounded.
Days later it's still the number 1 topic in Ukraine.

Maybe, but I've seen quite a bit of scepticism -  more likely it was locals and/or Ukrainian intelligence agents.

Possibly, at the very least it's a way for them to blame the dead,  "It was their own fault, they didn't follow orders"  mantra, thus diverting blame from the military hierarchy who decided to house 700 or so troop in one concentrated place alongside an ammunition dump.

I think this is exactly right.  It was the morons in command who are at fault here, not the poor conscripted.

You need bodies to guard the bullets

You need bullets to feed the guns of the guards

Makes sense to have them near each other.

To be fair they've having some trouble accurately counting the dead. Apparently enough ammunition went off that it liquified the soldiers in the blast. Sort of like something at the end of Indiana Jones and the raiders of the lost ark.

That seems more likely to be correct that either Russian (89) or Ukrainian (400) numbers.

They did get Mosins though.

A friend who's into that stuff tells me that Mosin Nagants are a collectible rifle and easily bring over $500, even for average examples.

He also said they were an excellent rifle and accurate at long range.
