Trees eat almost anything in soil, as long as the soil is tender enough.
Desert cannot be the habitat for most trees due to its solidity.
To make it tender, why not bombing that desert? Put the water and you got a fertile land with various trees.

Flood is among others caused by over loaded water in rivers, and to decrease the amount of the water in cities, or populated places, why not creating a lot of ponds at the sides of a river from remote positions to near cities

What problem are you trying to solve? Does a desert really need a "solution"? The main problem from flooding is its impact on human settlements. Is that the problem you are trying to solve with bombing? Wouldn't you be blowing up humans as well?

Have you considered using compost instead?  Much less violent.

Hmm, around where I live in the UK they seem to just wait for buildings to crumble on their own. Or let vandals do the work for them. Northern vandals are, well, thorough.

Let the compost get processed to be another kind of bomb.

It's not that the desert is 'solid' preventing vegetation from growing in their its that the sand is devoid of all nutrients to help anything such as trees, thrive

What the world does need to worry about is the increasing desertification encroaching on other habitats.

China is trying to avoid this by building a 'green wall'. Fighting back the desert


Over the past few decades they have planted billions of trees. You aren't going to solve the issue overnight with some bomb

Worms get put in desert, the desert becomes fertile. Israel is assisting Saudi Arabia with this method.
Before it, an Indonesian guy implemented it at Middle East, it worked.
This kind of method is common among village people here.
