According to NASA who unlike you have sent many people into space they have pegged the line at 262,000ft. Branson reached over 280,000ft. Therefore  snuck into space as far as NASA are concerned. You have a beef with that then take it up with them.

The issue here is that a private company did something extraordinary which is set to become common place.

According to NASA who unlike you have sent many people into space they have pegged the line at 262,000ft. Branson reached over 280,000ft. Therefore  snuck into space as far as NASA are concerned. You have a beef with that then take it up with them.

The issue here is that a private company did something extraordinary which is set to become common place.

Had you been around at the first powered flight, choose your winner, you would have no doubt sneered at that.

Space flight being common place 'in a few years' has been said for many many years. It wont be common place in your life time. Not unless there's an actual purpose. (eg jobs/working in space) Having 99% of your flight time being at the same altitude a pleb can fly at and then a mere few seconds of being at 80km high will get old pretty quick. Even for rich billionaires

That Red Bull guy that skydived from 38km high. That was far more impressive IMO. He would have had an even better view of the Earth below than Branson looking out a porthole from 80km
