Thanks for info. Yes, ITER has a board of governors, etc, but nobody in it knows when ITER will start fusion or even if it is possible. Only certain things are that there are delays and that more money is required. And local staff hasn't got a clue how to start the fusion process. It is a JOKE. https://www.iter.org/newsline/-/3634 and https://www.iter.org/doc/www/content/com/Lists/list_items/Attachments/938/2021_06_IC-28.pdf .  ITER repeats that "Fusion is the process that powers the Sun and the stars: when  light  atomic  nuclei  fuse  together  to  form  heavier  ones,  a  large  amount  of  energy  is  released, " but ITER doesn't know how to do it on Earth!

Why don't you climb into the fusion chamber when they turn it on to show us all how much of a joke it is. I'm sure you will find the experience illuminating. ;D
Thanks for advice. Fusion cannot be explained mathematically as math can only explain real problems and events. This expensive ITER machine shall show that fusion works on Earth, but one difficulty is that nobody can explain the fusion inside the Sun, etc.
Same with Fission. Nobody can explain it mathematically, i.e. how a 'critical mass' of atoms suddenly becomes other atoms and a FLASH of energy wiping out Japanese towns in nano-seconds.
I think mysterious physical processes like fusion and fission shall be described mathematically and tested in laboratories before being accepted as possible. Just secretly exploding full scale atomic, fission bombs and building expensive fusion plants do not prove anything, except that people believing in them are plain stupid.

I'm, confused, there's no math associated with Fission? Are you sure about that? Also, how do nuclear reactors around the world work?

MIT has a fission lab, 6mw of power, for safety reasons. So what do you mean there's no lab work? Do they have to explode the MIT campus to satisfy you? Also Lawrence Livermore, Sandia, and Los Alamos labs do all kinds of crazy testing without detonating a live bomb. Look it up.
Sorry, there is plenty math associated with Fission in nuclear power plants. But there is no math associated with explosive fission that takes place when nuclear weapons are ignited.

Are you sure about that?

No laboratory has ever studied explosive fission except in remote military places.

Imagine that. I wonder why that might be the case. But I thought you said it's never been studied in a lab?

99.999 % of all light and heat encountered by us on planet Earth originates from the Sun.
Apparently you have never whacked without lube.

Even more if you dip your hands in battery acid.
Rabinoz RIP

That would put you in the same category as pedophile perverts like John Davis, NSS, robots like Stash, Shifter, and victimized kids like Alexey.

Thanks. But the ITER fusion reactor down the road from me will not be ready until 2159  and then I'll be 113 years old. I have of course asked the ITER people about starting the reactor to produce a plasma at 150 000 000° inside it and how to produce high pressure steam at 450° to drive turbo alternators to produce electricity but ... no reply. I have looked at the ITER fusion reactor design and concluded it will melt before producing any steam.

Why not ask them to let you inside?  There are several fusion reactors available right now, I hear China has a nice one.

The ITER fusion machine will maybe be ready 2059 at my 113th birthday. Right now they are fitting some magnets to produce very hot plasma 2027 but it will only last less than a second, bla, bla. There is no way to produce steam then. You can visit the site but only see the machine at a distance.

Of course there are fusions reactors but the one that interest me is the BIG ITER fusion machine down the road here. Nobody knows how to start it 2059!
ITER is big and expensive. I am amazed that you cannot do fusion cheaply in a laboratory. Or a kitchen or a garage. What is so difficult? Why do you need $billions just to show fusion on Earth ... at 2059?

ITER is big an expensive, yes.  Expensive things are expensive, that's how it works.

You can do fusion in a laboratory. Most labs are more than large enough to put a fusion warhead in. But no it won't be cheap.

You could do the same in a kitchen or garage as well.  Why not try it in yours?

I'm still waiting for your pictures of the inside of a running fusion reactor.  If they ask why you want to do it, just tell them it's all on your website.  I'm sure after reading it they will be VERY interested in turning it on with you inside.  :P

I'm very sure you actually asked them that.  Totes.

Why not ask them to let you inside?  There are several fusion reactors available right now, I hear China has a nice one.

Go ahead and let us know what it's like in there.

But I really need to comment on this.

But the ITER fusion reactor down the road from me will not be ready until 2159  and then I'll be 113 years old.

It will be 138 years until 2159, so you are claiming you will be born in 2046? Are you related to Shifter? :D

Seriously though... I can't figure out if your account is performance art or if you really are so insane you just type whatever nonsense pops into your head.  I do hope you are in some sort of assisted care facility and not just wandering the streets ranting at people.
The ITER fusion machine will maybe be ready 2059 at my 113th birthday. Right now they are fitting some magnets to produce very hot plasma 2027 but it will only last less than a second, bla, bla. There is no way to produce steam then. You can visit the site but only see the machine at a distance.

There are fusion reactors being tested right now, no need to wait for whatever imaginary date you made up.

Please, go inside one when they turn it on so you can tell us all how much of a scam/lie/fake/failure it is.

I'm sure they would LOVE to have someone with your vast qualifications and deep understanding of the mechanics of fusion.

enjoy the nonsense!

You do certainly provide an endless supply of it.  Please get that trip to the inside of a fusion reactor scheduled as soon as possible.

Please, the video is about ITER and its fusion reactor where magnets (?) create high temperature, pressure and vacuum to create a dense plasma (like the interior of the Sun!), where water will become steam to drive alternators producing electricity, bla, bla, bla. Only complete idiots believe that nonsense.

Then you should have no problem walking inside a working fusion reactor, and prove once and for all if you are an idiot or not.

Please video it. From the outside, just in case. :P

There was a time when people said pretty much the same thing about peaceful nuclear fission power plants.

There was also a time when people stayed on topic (wave-particle duality of light).

I like nuclear fission power plants.
Topic is something else, i.e. the light wave-particle produced by Sun due to fusion inside the Sun. But there is no evidence for it.

I think there is pretty strong evidence that the Sun produces quite a bit of light.

Yes, I agree. But how is the light we see made? Any evidence for various ideas about it.

Visible light usually comes from an electron dropping in energy state. A photon is released when this happens.

Yes there is evidence for this.

I m told that spectroscopy is a key tool in developing scientific understanding of the electromagnetic force and also of the strong and weak nuclear forces but not gravity force. But Sun light? Is it a force?

What is the force carrier of the electromagnetic force?
