Praise be to Allaah. The signs and portents of the Day of Resurrection are the things that will happen before the Resurrection takes place and will indicate that it is close at hand. They have been divided into lesser and greater signs. The lesser signs, for the most part, will occur a long time before the Resurrection begins. Some of them have happened and ended – although they may be repeated – and some of them have appeared and are ongoing, and some have not yet happened, but they will happen as the truthful one (the Prophet) (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) has told us.
The major signs are serious matters, the appearance of which will indicate that the Day of Resurrection is at hand and that there is only a short time until that great Day comes.
The lesser signs of the Hour are many, and are mentioned in many saheeh ahaadeeth.
The sending of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)
2.The death of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).
3.The conquest of Jerusalem.
4.The plague of Amwaas (Emmaus), which is a city in Palestine.
5.Widespread wealth and lack of need for charity.
6.The appearance of fitan (tribulations). Among the tribulations that occurred in the early years of Islam were: the killing of ‘Uthmaan (may Allaah be pleased with him), the battle of the camel and the battle of Siffeen, the emergence of the Khawaarij, the battle of al-Harrah, and the opinion that the Qur’aan is a creation.
7.The emergence of claimants to Prophethood, such as the liar Musaylimah and al-Aswad al-‘Anasi.
8.The appearance of fire in the Hijaaz, which appeared in the middle of the 7th century AH, in 654 AH. This was a great fire, which the scholars who were alive at the time of its appearance and those who came after them described in great detail. Al-Nawawi said: There appeared in our time a fire in Madeenah, in the year six hundred and fifty-four. It was a very great fire on the eastern side of Madeenah, beyond the Harrah, and knowledge of it was widespread throughout Syria and all lands. Those of the people of Madeenah who were present told me about it.
9.Loss of trust. One of the manifestations of loss of trust is people’s affairs being entrusted to those who are not qualified or able for that.
10.The taking away of knowledge and the prevalence of ignorance; the taking away of knowledge will occur with the disappearance of the scholars, as it says in al-Saheehayn.
11.The spread of zina (adultery, fornication)
12.The spread of riba (usury, interest)
13.The prevalence of musical instruments.
14.Widespread drinking of alcohol.
15.Shepherds competing in the construction of tall buildings.
16.A slave woman giving birth to her mistress, as is stated in al-Saheehayn. There are several views among the scholars as to what this means. The view favoured by Ibn Hajar is that there will be widespread disobedience among children, so that a child will treat his mother as a master treats his slave woman, with negligence and insults.
17.Widespread killing.
18.Widespread earthquakes.
19.Appearance of landslides, transformations and stones from heaven.
20.Appearance of women who are clothed yet naked.
21.Believer’s dreams coming true.
22.Widespread giving of false testimony and concealment of true testimony.
23.Large numbers of women.
24.The land of the Arabs becoming once again meadows and rivers.
25.The Euphrates will uncover a mountain of gold.
26.Wild animals and inanimate objects will speak to people.
27.The “Romans” will increase in number and fight the Muslims.
28.The conquest of Constantinople.

The Day and Night
The Qur’anic description of the sequence of day and night would, in itself, be rather commonplace were it not for the fact that it is expressed in terms that are today highly appropriate. The Qur’an uses the verb kawwara in chapter az-Zumar to describe the way the night ‘winds’ or ‘coils’ itself around the day and the day around the night.
“He coils the night upon the day and the day upon the night.” Qur’an, 39:5
The original meaning of the verb kis to coil a turban around the head. This is a totally valid comparison; yet at the time the Qur’an was revealed, the astronomical data necessary to make this comparison were unknown. and observed the earth spinning on its axis, that the dark half of the globe appeared to wind itself around the light and the light half appeared to wind itself around the dark.

The Solar
The notion of a settled place for the sun is vividly described in chapter Yaa Seen of the Qur’an:
“The sun runs its coarse to a settled place That is the decree of the Almighty, the All Knowing.” Qur’an, 36:38
“Settled place” is the translation of the word mustaqarr which indicates an exact appointed place and time. Modern astronomy confirms that the solar system is indeed moving in space at a rate of 12 miles per second towards a point situated in the constellation of Hercules ( alpha lyrae ) whose exact location has been precisely calculated. Astronomers have even give it a name, the solar apex.

The Milky Way is moving towards Hydra at 550 km/s with respect to the CMB.

The Sun is moving towards Cygnus.

The Sun is also orbiting the galactic centre, and so is most definitely not heading to a 'settled place'.

While referring to the Sun and the Moon in the Qur'an, it is emphasized that each moves in a definite orbit.

"It is He Who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. They swim along, each in an orbit. "
(The Qur'an, 21:33)

It is mentioned in another verse, too, that the Sun is not static but moves in a definite orbit:

"And the sun runs to its resting place. That is the decree of the Almighty, the All-Knowing. "
(The Qur'an, 37:38)

These facts communicated in the Qur'an have been discovered by astronomical observations in our age. According to the calculations of experts on astronomy, the Sun is traveling at the enormous speed of 720,000 kilometers an hour in the direction of the star Vega in a particular orbit called the Solar Apex. This means that the sun travels roughly 17,280,000 kilometers a day. Along with the Sun, and all planets and satellites within the gravitational system of the Sun also travel the same distance. In addition, all the stars in the universe are in a similar planned motion.

That the entire universe is full of paths and orbits such as this one, is written in the Qur'an as follows:

"By the sky full of paths and orbits."
(The Qur'an, 51:7)

No one watches your videos. They are too long and too meandering to get to an actual point. And I'm not sure what your point is in posting them. You're just copy and pasting/plagiarizing previously published stuff from across the web at random. You have no impact other than to turn people off to your religion. Well done.

The major portents of the Hour are those which were mentioned by the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in the hadeeth of Hudhayfah ibn Aseed, and there are ten signs: The Dajjaal; the descent of ‘Eesa ibn Maryam (Jesus son of Mary); Ya’jooj and Ma’jooj (Gog and Magog); three landslides, one in the east, one in the west and one in the Arabian Peninsula; the smoke; the rising of the sun from its place of setting; the Beast; and the fire which will drive the people to their place of gathering. These signs will appear one after another, and when the first of these signs appear, the others will come soon after.

Muslim narrated that Hudhayfah ibn Aseed al-Ghifaari (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came out to us when we were discussing. He said: “What are you discussing?” They said: “We are talking about the Hour.” He said: “It will never begin until you see ten signs before it.” He mentioned the smoke, the Dajjaal, the Beast, the rising of the sun from its place of setting, the descent of ‘Eesa ibn Maryam (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), Ya’jooj and Ma’jooj, and three landslides, one in the east, one in the west and one in the Arabian Peninsula, and the last of that is a fire which will emerge from Yemen and drive the people to their place of gathering.

There is no saheeh text which states the order in which these signs will occur, rather the order of some of them is to be understood from the context of the texts.

Shaykh Muhammad al-Saalih al-‘Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) was asked:
Will the major portents of the Hour occur in a certain order?
He replied:
The order of some of the major portents is known, and in the case of others the order is not known. Among those whose order is known are the descent of ‘Eesa ibn Maryam, the emergence of Ya’jooj and Ma’jooj, and the Dajjaal, for the Dajjaal will be sent, then ‘Eesa ibn Maryam will come down and kill him, then Ya’jooj and Ma’jooj will emerge.
Al-Safareeni (may Allaah have mercy on him) listed the order of these portents in his ‘Aqeedah, but some of the order is acceptable whilst some of it is not. But what matters is that there are major signs of the Hour and when they happen, the Hour has drawn nigh. Allaah has decreed portents of the Hour, because it is a serious event and people need to know when it is about to happen.

Christ is just a prophet

everyone that was alive when Jesus walked considered him a Prophet.

And the crowds were saying, “This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth in Galilee.” (Matthew 21:11)

The woman *said to Him, “Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet.(John 4:19)

When they sought to seize Him, they feared the people, because they considered Him to be a prophet. (Matthew 21:46)

So they *said to the blind man again, “What do you say about Him, since He opened your eyes?” And he said, “He is a prophet.” (John 9:17)
(interesting footnote, even those he gave vision to considered him a prophet)

And He said to them, “What things?” And they said to Him, “The things about Jesus the Nazarene, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word in the sight of God and all the people, (Luke 24:19)

Bible says that God is not man
‘God is not a man’ (Numbers 23:19)
‘For I am God, and not man’ (Hosea 11:9)

Jesus is called a man many times in the Bible
‘a man who has told you the truth’ (John 8:40)

‘Jesus the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know.’ (Acts 2:22)

‘He will judge the world in righteousness through a man whom He has appointed’ (Acts 17:31)

‘the man Christ Jesus’ (Tim. 2:5)
The Bible says that Jesus denied he is God
Jesus spoke to a man who had called him ‘good,’ asking him, ‘Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.’ (Luke 18:19)

And he said to him, ‘Why are you asking me about what is good? There is only One who is good; but if you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments.’ (Matthew 19:17)

Jesus did not teach people that he was God
If Jesus had been telling people that he was God, he would have complimented the man. Instead, Jesus rebuked him, denying he was good, that is, Jesus denied he was God.

The Bible says that God is greater than Jesus
‘My Father is greater than I’ (John 14:28)
‘My father is greater than all.’ (John 10:29)

Jesus can not be God if God is greater than him. The Christian belief that the Father and son are equal is in direct contrast to the clear words from Jesus.

Jesus never instructed his disciples to worship him
‘When you pray, say Our Father which art in heaven.’ (Luke 11:2)

‘In that day, you shall ask me nothing. Whatsoever you ask of the Father in my name.’ (John 16:23)
The hour cometh and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father seeketh such to worship him.’ (John 4:23)

If Jesus was God, he would have sought worship for himself
Since he didn’t, instead he sought worship for God in the heavens, therefore, he was not God

The second descent of Christ is not an advantage over the prophets, but an assignment from God to Christ
To tell the people who said about him that he is a god or the son of God
He is not a god but only a prophet of God
and Islam is the religion of all the prophets
He will fight all those who oppose the law of Islam

he will descend on earth before the Last Day.  He will kill the antichrist , break the cross, and rule according to the Islamic Shariah, the Shariah of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him

Jesus (peace be upon him) has not died yet; Allaah raised him up unto Himself because the Jews wanted to kill him, and he will descend again at the end of time and rule the earth according to Islam. He will live for as long as Allaah wants him to, then he will die and the Muslims will pray [the janaazah or funeral prayer] for him. Ibn Katheer (may Allaah have mercy on him)

Islam is the religion taught in its fundamentals by all the prophets. It is the religion first introduced on Earth for mankind to follow. It is the religion of Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad and all previous prophets from time immemorial. The universal religion has a universal name, and that name is Islam.
The End of Prophethood

The religion of Islam was completed and perfected at the end of the mission of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w). The Almighty God states in the Holy Quran in the last chapter revealed to the Prophet of Islam

“This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion.” (5:3)

Thus, Muhammad (s.a.w.w) was the last Prophet sent to mankind and his Message was the last divine message and since then prophethood ceased to continue.

“Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but he is the Messenger of Allah and the last of the Prophets. And Allah is Ever All-Aware of everything.” (33:40)

All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and messenger.

Why is it stressed that Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) is the LAST PROPHET

one of the names that the holy bible uses referring to the prophet muhammad (pbuh) is "elijah", and according to gematria is equal to 53. 2

it is also a name of a great prophet sent by god to the children of israel in the ninth century (bc), whose name in the quran is elias.

the prophet malachi in his short book talks about the disobedience of the children of israel and about elijah or the new coming elijah, who is different from elias who died seven centuries before.

malachi said that god said, "behold, i send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me: and the lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to his temple, and the messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight: behold, he is coming, says the lord of hosts. but who can endure the day of his coming? and who can stand when he appears? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:"(malachi: 3/1-2).

the text in the prophet malachi's scripture talks about two prophets. one of them is the one who paves the road for the one that is coming from god. the second one is the one who will suddenly come to the temple, and he names him the master and the angel of the covenant, and that is the one that the children of israel are seeking and waiting for.

malachi, while he still talking about the expected prophet and about the children of israel's alteration and denial,   says at the end of his book,: "remember the law of my servant moses, the statutes and rules that i commanded him at horeb for all israel. behold, i will send you elijah the prophet before the great and awesome day of the lord:" (malachi: 4/4-5).

malachi called the next prophet elijah after he reminded them about moses’ commandment on the mountain of horeb, the mountain on which moses (pbuh) mentioned the coming of a prophet like him among the brothers of children of israel. the interpreter who wrote "the masterpiece of the generation" says:

"the messenger elijah, who was mentioned at the end of malachi's book, is a puzzle, and he is the rabbi of the world who will come at the end of time". 1

christians think that the prophet who paved the road is john the baptist whose name was elijah, in the text in mark says: "as it is written in isaiah the prophets, behold, i send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way.  the voice of one crying in the wilderness: “prepare the way of the lord, make his paths straight,” john appeared baptizing in the wilderness and proclaiming a baptism of repentance for forgiveness of sins.  and all the country of judaea and all jerusalem were going out to him and were being baptized by him in the river jordan, confessing their sins.  now john was clothed with camel's hair, and wore a leather belt around his waist and ate locusts and wild honey.  and he preached, saying, after me comes he who is mightier than i, the straps of whose sandals i am not worthy to stoop down and untie.  i have baptized you with water: but he will baptize you with the holy spirit.  in those days jesus came from nazareth of galilee, and was baptized by john in the jordan." (mark: 1/2-9), which is what luke told quoting jesus (pbuh):

“what then did you go out to see? a prophet? yes, i tell you, and more than a prophet. this is heof whom it is written, behold, i send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you. i tell you; among those born of women, none is greater than john: yet the one who is least in the kingdom of god is greater than he. “(luke: 7/26-28).

therefore, according to christians, the one who will prepare the road is john the baptist, and the one for whom the road is prepared for is jesus (pbuh).

they consider the first one to be elijah due to what matthew said quoting jesus (pbuh) in the course of his talk about john the baptist: "what then did you go out to see? a prophet? yes, i tell you, and more than a prophet. this is heof whom it is written, behold, i send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you. truly, i say to you, amongthose born of women, none is greater than john: yet the one who is least in the kingdom of god is greater than he. from the days of john the baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force.  for all the prophets and the law prophesied until john.  and if you are willing to accept it, he is elijah, who is to come. he who has ears to hear, let him hear." (matthew: 11/9-15).

matthew also mentioned that jesus (pbuh) said: "and the disciples asked him, “then why do the scribes say that first elijah must come?  he answered, elijah does come, and he will restore all things.  but i tell you, that elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him, but did to him whatever they pleased. so also, the son of man will certainly suffer at their hands.  then the disciples understood that he was speaking to them of john the baptist." (matthew: 17/10-13).

therefore, christians believe that the prophesier, the one who will prepare the road, is john the baptist, and the prophesized, the one for whom the road is prepared for is jesus (pbuh). the fact is that elijah was a symbol for the expected prophet and not to the prophet who prepared the road for him.

before we unveil the truth of this prophecy, we must alert readers to the alterations that have happened in some of these texts. in malachi he says "the covenant angel", which is in the old translations: "the messenger of circumcision", also in the modern translation he says: "i will send my angel" but in the old translation "i will send my messenger", and in some editions "the master will come", but in some others "the guardian", and in another "elijah".

in the gospel’s text, there is an alteration made to the quotes from malachi who used the  first person object pronoun “me” “heshall prepare the way before me", but in the gospels the pronoun became the third person object pronoun “you” referring to jesus " heshall prepare the way before thee”.

we can also see clearly, that the alterations have reached the words of jesus (pbuh) and the baptist when the evangelists claim that jesus considered the baptist to be the one who prepared for his message. "behold, i send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way." (luke: 7/26), and that he called him the expected elijah "but i tell you, that elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him, but did to him whatever they pleased. so also, the son of man will certainly suffer at their hands.  then the disciples understood that he was speaking to them of john the baptist."(matthew: 17/12-13).

it is an alteration when they said that the baptist told that the strong one that he prophesized of his coming, is jesus (pbuh). "john answered them, i baptize with water: but among you stands one you do not know; even he who comes after me, the strap of whose sandal i am not worthy to untie." these things took place in bethany across the jordan, where john was baptizing.  the next day he saw jesus coming toward him, and said, behold the lamb of god, who takes away the sin of the world.   this is he of whom i said, after me comes a man who ranks before me, because he was before me. i myself did not know him, but for this purpose i came baptizing with water, that he might be revealed to israel.  and john bore witness, “i saw the spirit descend from heaven like a dove, and it remained of him.  i myself did not  knew him, but he who sent me to baptize with water, said to me, he on whom you see the spirit descend, and remain, this is he who baptizes with the holy spirit.  and i have seen and bore witness that this is the son of god.  the next day again john was standing with two of his disciples; and he looked at jesus he walked by and said, “behold the lamb of god! the two disciples heard him say this, and they followed jesus.  jesus turned and saw them following, and said to them, “what are you seeking? and they said to him, rabbi, (which means teacher) where are you staying? he said to them, come and you will see. so they came and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.  one of the two who heard john speak and followed jesus, was andrew, simon peter's brother." (john: 1/26-40).

our claim of the alterations is not to say that the texts did not agree with the issue that we are trying to prove. it is that john the baptist denied that he is the prophet elijah. elijah, who was supposed to prepare the way for the coming master, the baptist denied it when the priests and the levites jewish messengers came to him "and this is the testimony of john, when the jews sent priests and levites from jerusalem to ask him, who are you? he confessed, and did not deny; but confessed, i am not the christ.  and they asked him, what then? are you elijah? he said, i am not. are you the prophet? and he answered, no." (john: 1/19-21), this is a clear confession where john denies that he is elijah who will prepare the road, and that he is neither the expected messiah nor the expected prophet.

this confession leaves us with three choices. either jesus lied when he said that elijah had come, that the baptist lied when he denied that he was elijah or we should say that the disciples did not understand the words of jesus (pbuh). the last analysis is more likely, as matthew made a mistake when he said, "then the disciples understood that he was speaking to them of john the baptist". they thought that they understood, but in fact, they did not. he was talking to them about himself "behold, i send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me: and the lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to his temple, and the messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight: behold, he is coming, says the lord of hosts.”in addition, the description of elijah does not match that of the baptist, because he comes after jesus, as jesus said about him: "elijah is expected to come"; but jesus and the baptist were contemporaries.

when elijah comes, he "will return everything", and "and he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers". there is no report about the baptist as such. the one who, according to matthew, lived in the desert, feeding on locusts and honey, and his clothing was made of camel skin, and the best thing he did was to baptize whoever came to him repenting. (see matthew: 3/1-5).

it is impossible to accept that the baptist was a prelude to jesus. the baptist, according to the gospels, before his death did not know the truth about jesus, and he sent his disciples to ask jesus (pbuh) "and said to him, are you the one who is to come, or shall we look for another?" (matthew: 11/3).

how could it be that he was sent at this time, when he did not know the truth about him? what did john do before the coming of jesus? did he do something related to jesus’ mission that the gospels are claiming?

there is no report on the baptist other than giving the prophecy of the kingdom, the same as what jesus (pbuh) did after him. (see matthew: 3/1). he used to baptize those who came to him confessing about their sins. (see matthew: 3/6), and that is what jesus did. that confirms that they had the same message that was to prophesize and tell about the prophet muhammad (pbuh) the prophet of the kingdom. as he said: "but he said to them, i must preach the good news of the kingdom of god to other towns as well: for i was sent for this purpose." (luke: 4/34), he was sent to give good news of the next kingdom.

the fact is that the baptist and jesus (pbuh) came with the same message. both of them were sent to preach about the final prophet. they were preachers of the final prophet, which matthew called the heavens kingdom, as the prophet john the baptist preached about the closeness of the expected prophet’s time, "inthose days john the baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of judea, 'repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand'." (matthew: 3/1-2).

after the death of john the baptist jesus renewed the good news of the kingdom, "and from that time jesus began to preach, saying, 'repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand'.”(matthew: 4/17), "and he went throughout all galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom." (matthew: 4/23).

moreover, he ordered his disciples to give the good news of the closeness of the kingdom’s time, so he said, "and proclaim as you go, saying, the kingdom of heaven is at hand." (matthew: 10/7), they had the same message, and that is to preach and prepare the road to the expected prophet.

not only did these descriptions not match the baptist, but also did not match jesus (pbuh); the baptist said:

"i baptize you with water for repentance, but he, who is coming after me is mightier than i.  whose sandals i am not worthy to carry. he will baptize you with the holy spirit, and with fire: his winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, and gather his wheat into the barn; but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire. then jesus came from galilee to the jordan to john, to be baptized by him." (matthew: 3/11-13).

the expected prophet that had the good news would baptize with the holy spirit and fire. while jesus (pbuh) never baptized anyone during his life, even though this was spread among the people, but in reality, he did not. his disciples did it in his name "now when jesus learned that the pharisees had heard that jesus was making and baptizing more disciples than john, (although jesus himself did not baptize, but only his disciples), he left judea and departed again to galilee " (john: 4/1-2).

the baptist also mentioned that the expected prophet would baptize with spirit and fire. meaning that he will have the control over religion and life, in order to change the wrong and encourage repentance.  he would not stop at the external cleansing of washing the body with water, but he pays attention to internal cleansing, and his tool to do this is what the holy spirit (gabriel) comes with, revelation, information and explanation, as he cleansed with fire many places on earth from paganism.

such baptism was not performed by jesus (pbuh), whom his disciples baptized with water, and where his preaching was a continuation of the baptism of the baptist. that is to give the good news about repentance and forgiveness of sins, for jesus, after the crucifixion and resurrection, asked everyone of his disciples "and that the repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from jerusalem." (luke: 24/47), so his baptism (pbuh) was not different from the baptism of the baptist. (see john: 3/22-23).

his disciples continued after him to baptize with water like john the baptist, and when paul went to ephesus,   “andthere he found some disciples, and he said to them, did you receive the holy spirit when you believed? and they said, no, we have not even heard that there is a holy spirit.  and he said, into what then were you baptized? they said, into john's baptism.  and paul said, john baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, jesus.  on hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the lord jesus." (acts: 19/1-5). if jesus (pbuh) had a baptism different from the baptist’s, then it should have been well known and spread among the disciples.

the baptist also described the expected prophet as stronger than him. there was nothing about the message or the life of jesus that indicated such strength. both john the baptist and jesus did not come with a new law, nor were they kings over their people, and both of them never had any influence or authority. not only had they no power, but also christians, falsely, claim that they were both killed! where is the strength that the baptist mentioned?

moreover, jesus (pbuh) did not match the baptist’s statement about the expected prophet. “whosefan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire." that is a metaphor, which dr. william edie explained as:

"it is a metaphor indicating the end of the whole mission, and it is possible that this metaphor was an indication of god's discipline of the people and his revenge on them in this life". in fact, it goes further than that, as it explains the power that purifies god’s giving of the law to his prophets, and whatever was associated with it.

based on that, the expected prophet is muhammad (pbuh), and he is the only one that came to the holy land and the temple suddenly, when he flew on his night journey to the holy house, while jesus and john grew up in the area of the temple.

he is also the prophet that, is named by some translations "the messenger of circumcision", as he did call for, and alerted the muslims that it is one of the guidance traditions, and the muslims kept this tradition after him.

PLAGARIST!

Much like Islam itself.
How?

I have spent time learning about the major faiths of the world, including Islam, and my overall impression of Islamic theology and philosophy is that is an off-shoot of Christianity that rejected trinitarianism and returned to strict monotheism.

Most likely it arose as a result of interaction with early Christianity which was still in a state of flux, and borrowed heavily from Christian theology and philosophy, as well as scripture (often from early non-canonical sources), and by extension Jewish tradition.

Being strictly monotheistic required demoting Jesus to a prophet, albeit it one taken bodily in to heaven, much like Mary in Roman Catholic theology.

To me at least, it feels like Islam took Judeo-Christian tradition, and rewrote it to suit the culture of Arabian Peninsula at the time.

As Jesus was Jewish there is an inherited tradition in Christianity, and so it does not borrow from Judaism, rather extends it.  As there is no such link between Judeo-Christian tradition and Islam, other than Islam's assertion that it is the primordial religion and Judaism and Christianity are a corruption of that religion, then any borrowing would be plagiarism.  Plagiarism ascribed to God.
