How do meteores and comets work on the flat earth?

I mean where do they come from? From outer space? Then you have to ditch the "dome" model. Then you have to explain why you can see diferent stars from diferent latitudes. I all the research I have done, I have notfound a single cohesive explanation. All explanations leave out atleast one of the issues.

Why cant the atmoplane (the 'thin blue line') be the dome? It is our shield from outer space. It prevents many of the meteors from hitting us. Inside it, we have air to breathe. Why does a dome have to be some physical construct? Maybe when people first looked up in the sky they thought it was solid. But we know better now.

I guess it depends on the model of the flat earth too. Some claim an 'infinite earth', so why not a blanket in that case. If not 'infinite' than maybe they claim some weird physics or some undiscovered force is responsible.

I've made many posts tonight. So maybe I just haven't gotten around to whichever post you're talking about yet or maybe I saw it but was busy with other things at the time and when I got back to the forum it was gone from my 'New Replies'. I'll go look for it

Undiscovered forces . What I get from this is that you guys have no explanation for the atmosphere (something that clearly exists and that we all can experience). I don't get how you can be faced with evidence after evidence and still refuse to see the truth. The FE doesn´t work. No way around it.

Also, how much about physics and gravity do you really know? There may be a piece of this universe sized jigsaw puzzle you are missing that could rewrite everything you think you know. or not. Who can say?

Yes but these did not come as a means of justifyng a model. All the "unknowns" especially on quantum mechanics can be measured, influenced or have a direct consequence associated with them. We can not harness, measure nor see the force that would make up the atmosphere in action. You may say that the atmosphere itself is the proof but not only does that use the result as the justification (saying A causes B just because we can see B), but it also completely disregards the fact that fluids in the north pole would act massively differently from the ones in say Australia.

The common explanation I have seen flat earthers give is that the ice wall are so big they contain it by always accelerating. I find that just... so... ridiculous... That poses so much more questions about the night sky and the atmosphere's pressure gradient

Specifically and usually as described, the ice wall contains the oceans. The firmament (or "dome") contains the atmosphere. When you start talking about EA, the earth accelerating upward, I think the explanation doesn't require a dome to keep the atmosphere in - My understanding is that whatever force that is accelerating the earth kind of goes up and around the edges of the plane, creating a barrier and keeps stuff in and above the earth.

The prevailing hand wave that flat Earthers due is to misrepresent the 2nd law of thermodynamics and claim that higher pressure air will move towards lower pressure areas unless separated by a physical rigid barrier.  That is until they need it to be permeable for some other phenomenon.
