Too bad it's an image that isn't being used as evidence.  Photographic evidence can't be used; images that are used to convey ideas can be used.

Um, yeah it is. I said Antarctica doesn't go all the way around the world, you said yes it does, with that picture as proof.

Quote from: "DFM"
Because, that theory is illogical; The Earth is filled with twinkies, then volcanoes would spew twinkies everywhere, instead of hot, molten rock.  If this theory were true, then Pompeii wouldn't have been destroyed in the fashion that it did.

Your theory is illogical. It's all fake, it's a bunch of computers everywhere, showing you images of lava, that don't exist. That's part of the conspiracy, Pompeii doesn't exist, any "proof" you find is obviously made up by the government.

Quote from: "DFM"
Or you could read it.  Don't blame me for your laziness.

You know I won't read it when you could sum it up for me right here, because all FE'ers seem to be on the same page around here.

Quote from: "DFM"
Too bad it didn't say anything about the object being only of two dimensions.  You lose.

Haha, you're embarrassed just like the government is, as you claim. Horizontal, no tilt, that's flat buddy, it's ok to be wrong, you're already a FE'er.

Quote from: "DFM"
Really?  Because, if you were to take a survey asking people what the first thing that came to mind when they hear "UFO", I'd bet about 60-80% would say "aliens" or something similar.

Then 60-80% of people are mislead, or simply retarded. Just because you're one of the 60-80% of retards doesn't make it right.

Quote from: "DFM"
Well, MY point was that pictures can be faked, and you might not have the expertise to know when an image is faked and when it isn't.  Hence why no photographs can be used as evidence.

Um, I just showed you how to figure it out, for me it was common sense, it must be harder for you, but all of your pictures were pretty easily ID'd as fake.

Quote from: "DFM"
This directly shows your reading ability, or lack thereof.

This directly shows your ability not to respond to one of my comments.

How am I supposed to believe you when you say that you've seen it?  Am I going to have to "take your word for it"?

Yes, I've been in 2nd grade, and saw a globe, I suppose you will have to take my word for it, as hard as it may be.

the very fact you fail to understand simple logic shows that your own ability to think means that it is hardly worth me talking to you.

if the best argument you can create involves a personal attack on someone, it generaly shows a lack of arguementive ability, and lowers an arguemnts impact. Try to read some work on Critical Thinking to understand a basic argument structure.

sorry to lower myself to your level, but i hope it gives the best chance of you understanding me. anyway... what were we talking about?

I'm sure when everyone gets some free time (mods can help if you want guys) the FAQ will be updated again. Unfortunately, we actually have lives away from here, so it's perhaps not as as you may expect. Until then, you're unfortunately going to have to put in a bit of effort yourself and use the search function and existing FAQ.

I didn't say that the model itself made the earth round, however what I did say was that the model clearly shows, every single time, that the earth has a tilt to it. Why would the government make the earth round, when it's really flat  , and have a tilt to it, why not just a perfect sphere? Makes no sense, who would go that in depth about it, right down to saying that the north pole and the north magnetic pole aren't even the same, they're quite the distance from each other.

so how do we know that the government isn't some elaborate conspiracy cooked up by a group of power-hungry nuts in, say, China or something?

by the FE'er logic, the government itself could be just a circle of people in some foreign country on a power trip with access to a lot of money and ways to brainwash people into playacting their own little "government" for them.

the government isn't even real.

it can't have a conspiracy if it doesn't even exist.

When I look up a conspiracy, I expect a damn good "theory" (excuse) as to why they're correct, and yet, you guys make the ice wall. What is that? Also, why is everything a conspiracy? If the Earth really was flat, why would people hide that information? What could they POSSIBLY GAIN?!?!?!?!?!?!

A: The motive is unknown although it is probably money

Also, if the Earth is flat, wouldn't that make it 2D? Um flat, of course meaning no depth. I know what your respons to that will be though, it's a cube, but flat's easier to say, yeah, I'm sure.

I've yet to see a single FE'er suggest that the Earth has no height. They simply contend that it's not a ball.

1 more thing before I listen to some sorry "theories" (excuses), how can you tell people that they can't use pictures from space as proof, just because they haven't been there? So, according to that logic, China doesn't exist, neither does Florida because I haven't been there!!! Nice proof, real nice proof.

This is true. If you've not accually been to China yourself then the only evidence you have to go on for it's existence is what someone else has told you. How do you know they've not lied to you, or been lied to about where they were?

No, flat means 2D, only 2 dimensions. A square is flat, a circle is flat, and (according to you) the earth is flat.

We're using the word, so you have to conform to our definition.

Well, you're using my language of choice, so confine to what the words themselves mean, and don't make up definitions for yourself.

No, LSU, you are the one who's wrong. I'll give you the definitions for flat, since you obviously haven't actually looked it up and have just developed a concept of what you think the word means. What's more, I'll give it to you in "your language of choice" so there won't be any confusion.

I have several questions for you FE'ers:

1) If the Earth is "flat" (implying that it is 2 dimensional), how is it that the goverment can dig at all?

2) How could you possibly know the diameter of the sun, if it's, um, hot?

3) Why is it called the "NORTH" pole, if it's in the center?

Well, now that I've given you the idea, you could do it right now, go back and copy and paste what was said before and put it on Microsoft word, then you won't have to worry about incompetent newbs (noobs) asking stuff that you've already said, it saves everyone the "hard work" of looking stuff up, except you, but that's what the minimize button's for.

I think you overestimate the powers of a wondering newb (noob).

If you can't be bothered searching, why would we be bothered answering?

When I look up a conspiracy, I expect a damn good "theory" (excuse) as to why they're correct, and yet, you guys make the ice wall. What is that? Also, why is everything a conspiracy? If the Earth really was flat, why would people hide that information? What could they POSSIBLY GAIN?!?!?!?!?!?!

Quote from: "The FAQ"
Q: "What is the motive behind this conspiracy?"

A: The motive is unknown although it is probably money

Also, if the Earth is flat, wouldn't that make it 2D? Um flat, of course meaning no depth. I know what your respons to that will be though, it's a cube, but flat's easier to say, yeah, I'm sure.

Quote from: "DFM who is getting on my nerves and just"
I've yet to see a single FE'er suggest that the Earth has no height. They simply contend that it's not a ball.

You've "yet to see it", eh? Well, look at the very top of the screen...."The FLAT Earth society", good call, Captain Morgan.

You guys need to read the very first definition, it's obviously the one being described. Horizontal, with no tilt, that's flat, try understanding big words.

I think that the icon for the website is quite misleading. Midgard has a nice representation of what "flat" really is in his signature, even if it mis-represents the shape of the "flat" earth.

this is a bunch of crap. I am tired of being stupid. Only idiots would belive something as vague and general as this.  The only way the Earth would be flat is if we were all trippen' on acid.  If the Earth is a cylander how deep is it? What is on the other side? How many other flat Earths are there? What is my middle name? And why are we here? :?:  :?:  :?:  :?:  :?:  :?:  :?:  :?:  :?:  :?:  :?:  :?:  :?:  :?:  :?:  :?:  :?:  :?:  :?:  :?:  :?:
