Do you know how to post images correctly? And why are you doing an image search? Just normal search on "first virus detected".

Maybe this is why you're baffled by search engines and such - You have no idea how to use them.

But, i will try "first virus dtected/discovered"
I know what your saying makes sense. but you shoulod see some of the nonsensical recommended search terms i get , thought maybe the ai could understand a dumbe down version.

Oh, and i did get some returns, but i said to myself, lets omit wikipedia and see what were left with. i was recently researching the height of some of the first space rockets and discovered that "wiki" was the name of the first mouse in space who they couldn't rescue and fell to the bottom of the sea or something...

Why do you make everything so difficult? First of all, spelling counts. "dtected" is not helping you. Follow along with me:

- Go to google.com
- copy and paste in "first virus discovered"
- Hit 'enter'

The first 2 returns are not even wikipedia. More scholarly sources.

i was recently researching the height of some of the first space rockets and discovered that "wiki" was the name of the first mouse in space who they couldn't rescue and fell to the bottom of the sea or something...

Can I have a hit of whatever you're smoking? It's the only way I can really relate to a story about rockets and 'wiki' the space mouse sacrificed to the bottom of the ocean.

Quote
The first human virus to be identified was the yellow fever virus.[6] In 1881, Carlos Finlay (1833–1915), a Cuban physician, first conducted and published research that indicated that mosquitoes were carrying the cause of yellow fever,[7] a theory proved in 1900 by commission headed by Walter Reed (1851–1902). During 1901 and 1902, William Crawford Gorgas (1854–1920) organised the destruction of the mosquitoes' breeding habitats in Cuba, which dramatically reduced the prevalence of the disease.[8] Gorgas later organised the elimination of the mosquitoes from Panama, which allowed the Panama Canal to be opened in 1914.[9] The virus was finally isolated by Max Theiler (1899–1972) in 1932 who went on to develop a successful vaccine.[10]

ASK:  when was the first virus infecting humans discovered

RECEIVE:  Following on from the discovery of tobacco mosaic virus in 1892 and foot-and-mouth disease virus in 1898, the first 'filterable agent' to be discovered in humans was yellow fever virus in 1901.

This is just a starting point. Investigate further for even more specific information.
