This is the BBC admitting to fakery. I doubt this new show Earth from Space is an exception
No it's not! The BBC would hardly admit to fakery.
They are simply explaining how there achieve scenes and effects not possible with direct photography.
If the most simple explanations are usually correct then imagine the mental gymnastics of the notion we are a rock in space, spinning at 1700km/h, zooming around a Sun at 108,000km/h which itself is travelling around 792,000km/h around the Milky Way which itself is hurtling toward some region called 'The Great Attractor' at 2.1 million km/h
No great "mental gymnastics" are needed if you look at these speeds on a Cosmic scale!
Why do you see any problem in a huge Earth rotating at a sedate 0.00069 rpm (just creeping around),
orbiting the Sun at just less than 1 degree/day (that's slow),
taking about 230 million to make just one circuit around our Galaxy and
creeping towards the
Great Attractor so slowly that it will take over 2000 years to cover even the distance to Proxima Centauri, our nearest known star apart from the Sun.
Look at those speeds on a Cosmic scale and we're hardly moving.
And you guys call flat earthers loopy
Yep they surely are!
The Earth and Solar System just creep along but many flat Earthers here and almost all at TFES claims that our whole system is travelling at virtually the speed of light - close to 300,000 km/sec.
