For me, this has been mostly a minor inconvenience.
I have a pantry that is well stocked, and before things went bonkers in the US did some shopping to bolster the areas that were a little low. That and the freezer and I could easily last 4-5 months.
Already had a bidet, but was able to Amazon shop early (for delivery a couple weeks out) to keep the toilet paper stock reasonable.
Have a full bottle of hand sanitizer, but as not going anyplace that wouldn't allow me to wash hands, haven't used any of it yet.
I live in an area where the grocery store delivers. You have to plan out for a delivery 5-6 days in advance, so only a slight inconvenience. No hopping in the car to get a bag of Funyuns and a Starbucks, but that was probably never a good idea in the first place. Out of 100 items, only 2 were unavailable. (I like tipping the Instacart shoppers big, because they're doing good work under shitty conditions. I am furious at the recent trend of people luring shoppers to an order with a big tip, and then changing it to $0 after the delivery.)
I also have a dairy that delivers milk, yogurt, cheese eggs, coffee, bread. Again, have to plan a bit but not an issue.
I actually like staying indoors. In the last decade I am always out and about commuting and driving a lot for work and social contact, and it's actually *nice* to have a break from that. I work in an industry classified as essential, so I *can* go to work if I want or need, but have only done so twice in the past three weeks. It's nice rolling out of bed a lot later, having the coffee I like at hand, and not getting as interrupted when I'm doing work with people just stopping by.
Being out and about with friends ... I keep in touch enough, and yes it's inconvenient, but not oppressively so.
I also am in the middle of a job interview process for a different and far more satisfying position, and that was interesting doing remotely, but I understand that was becoming far more common before the pandemic.
I am by no means bored. I have a thousand things to do any to keep me busy, both for work and for recreation. If we're going to be isolated for another 3 weeks until May 1 (which is likely) I have no problem with being inside for all that time.
So sorry to hear about anyone whose family's health has been impacted. That's the most important thing. So far no one I know has had to deal with anything other than self-isolation from known or suspected contact.
Cheers, all!
