Come to Canberra and have a cup from Shifter instead!

I just bought myself a Nespresso Creatista PRO and it is the bees knees of home coffee machines.



It dumps all over Heiwas 'Magimix' offering  ???


And as you know, my home water goes through a plethora of filtration, including Reverse Osmosis and remineralisation.

Also I'm not frugal and can offer it to you in a glass. Not some cheap plastic cup!

Has Heiwa even once come good on his promise of a Nespresso to forum members? No.

There's around 85000 homes in Canberra. If you guess the right one and knock on my door, I think that's worthy of a free Nespresso  8)

What I asked was why did you claim adding minerals back was a filtration step.

Because that's what post RO cartridges are sometimes 'known as'. In the context of water filter systems, the words filter and cartridge are interchangeable. Agree it don't, there's no need to be a pedantic arse in the lounge. Do you want a coffee or not?

You need to understand you are wrong. Addition is not the same as subtraction.

You of course know you shouldn’t drink the RO water straight. So clearly it’s a new step to add minerals back.

I know you want another 'gotcha' moment. I'd like to give it to you, but the English language is simply clumsy. 'Remineralisation filters' might sound a bit off, but it is how they are 'described'.

I get what you are saying, but me labeling a product of which it is known as does not make me 'wrong'.

If this silly 'mis' naming of a product keeps you up at night, please see a therapist. Or maybe relax and unwind with a beautiful home made Nespresso! I wont charge ;) (plane ticket to Oz and related transport expenses is on you though)  8)

I did. I did crazy amounts of overtime at work since just before Christmas, figured 'what the hell' bargained a few hundred off the price and never have to drink instant coffee again. (This machine only costs just over 2 days worth of overtime anyway)

I'm pretty frugal everywhere else. One guy I know spends $70 a week in parking because he doesn't want to walk 10 minutes from the car to work where the parking is free. I'd spend 30 minutes walking if it meant free parking. Some people at work spend over $20 a day paying for coffees and Cafe lunches. I take my own. I pity the suckers who smoke packets a day. They're over $40 or something now.

Currently I don't even eat much. Lost 17kg in the last 9 months despite everyone else at work packing on the kg (like I was before). 12 hour shifts of sitting at computers can do that to you. I looked at all these morbidly obese public servants waddling around and insisted I would never let myself go that far!

Now I am back to skinny and have saved a lot!

Well that's good. I'm glad you are keeping healthy. I just have a $20 (or so) drip coffee maker. I don't drink instant unless I make a frappe. I guess you can make all kinds of coffee drinks with that thing.

Do they still sell flavoured coffee in AUS? i just realized that at a few of the grocery stores they have all but eliminated flavoured coffee. Were down to i think one option from "van houte"  brand and two from tim hortons brand. Even though the coffee section seems to have doubled over the last 15 yrs - lots of small batch stuff.

Heaps and heaps in the instant 'sachet' kind

I bought some Baileys (Irish cream) flavoured pods now. There's a plethora of brands selling all sorts of flavours but because they are named after countries or cities, I have no idea what they are supposed to taste like

Nespresso have over 20 kinds and the ones I'm keen to try are the vanilla and caramel flavours

There's always ebay to get whatever you want, wherever in the world it is too.

Thats a fine looking coffee machine.

Thats hilarious about the coffee city names, the only one i know is belgian chocolate and it is alright .

 It's funny you mention vanilla, caramel because thats the only flavoured coffee i'd buy of the three choices,  made by van houte - vanilla caramel. I'm hesitant to buy tim hortons coffee for home - they're such a large company, they must be conspirators, or at least the corruption safety factor decreases i hypothesize.
